I'm running a pretty staunch gaming rig here. SLI GDDR 3 Nvidia 8600 cards (two of them) duo core Intel pcu, (which adds up to about 4.4 ghz) , 2 gigs of high end DDR2 gaming ram, a 64 bit mother board, Windows Vista...

So , I'm running through Neriak and BAM! EQ2 shuts down on me and says this application has run out of memory. I assume there is some setting I'm missing to bypass this, because there is -no way- in heck my computer doesn't have enough memory or the hardware to run this game at high settings :p this has only happened once, but I'd rather it not ever happen again because it was annoying.

Can anyone clue me in on how to remedy this? Thanks.

I'd suggest that you try roll back the drivers of the video card Nvidia 8600 present on your system. You must download and then install the driver version 84.21. Also you need to turn off the all the shadows for the game. This is how to uninstall the driver for video card: 1. Click start, then control panel, click on system (if you don't see system on the left switch it to classic view) 2. When you in system click on the hardware tab and then click on device manager. 3. Once in device manager click on Display adapters. 4. Right click on your video card and click on properties. 5. Once in there click on the tab that says driver. Click on Uninstall. Once your current driver is uninstalled please install the driver you have downloaded.
