Ok...I admit I always felt people complaining about Armor looks, mis-matching, and that its why we need armor dyes just wanted to have oddly colored armor. *remembers EQ I*

Anyways over thep as few days I've been aquiring some really good armor...but now my once beautifully clad in armor SK has turned into some guy that looks rag-tag in armor he picked up out of some dumpters and stitched up himself.

I agree wholeheartely now...we need armor dyes...or an armor color option. SOE seems to not want to add Armor Dyes because of some past experiences....Neon Pink Troll SKs, Hot Neon Purple Ogre Women, Magenta Froglok Paladins... I was thinking that a good compromise would be a armor meld/blend feature. Like an NPC in Town(to avoid extremely high broker fees) would sell Meldling/Blending Kits. These kits would let a player select a piece of armor and use it's color scheme one another piece...to make the peices match. Blending kits would change Color... Melding Kits could makes the Armor style match. EX: Example: You have some shoulders that are red and black, your chestplate is green, your pants are poop brown with stitches in them, hand armor is bright neon blue. So you go to up an Armor Melding NPC...buy 1 or 2 armor kits...When you use the kit a window liek the inventory pops up...you select the armor of your choice...for the sake of this example...we'll go with the red and black shoulders. When you slect the shoulders some window pops up and says: "Select a piece to meld with." You select the poop stitched brown pants, you then hit Ok in the confirmatino window. Wham! Now your pants are red and black. You repeat for your hands, and Chestplate. Now you match in your red and black armor, and no longer feel like a homeless bum...or in other words...an exile. *cackles at the outrage of Exiles at his cheap shot*

This would help alot, I know the biggest reason people want armor kits is to be unique and also to stop looking horridenously mis-matched. Thanks to the blend you can make your chest and legs grey and your arms green, you just need armor of the color you want. So you can stil lbe highly customizable. Now when your done coloring you may still not be happy...like lets say your armor all looks like plate armor with intricate rivits in it/or spikes/ or chain linked...but your plate pants have the appearance of leather pants. -_-* You go buy a Melding kit...and select the a plate armor piece with rivits in it...then like the blending kit you select the pants, confirm, and wham now you legs are styled in line with the rest of your armor.

I feel this would work cause we'd be using the current armor models, just recoloring them. And I dont see any harm in changing a current armor model to another current armor model. I hope people agree with this. Maybe the Devs will find this a viable compromise...it also would help lessen the need for a Dressing room as we could now make our armor match at the costs of some gold.
