I'm curious how many mobs they are making immune to charm in high lvl dungions or whatever. I dont always just grab the best dmg pet and keep it around, I like to kill off whats in the encounter with charm alot, and I read some about immunities being put in. Just wondering what I have to look forward to.

Off the top of my head I think you'll find most mobs charmable in most tier 7 instances. Named mobs are exceptions of course. A lot of the mobs in unrest walk super slow so I haven't spent much time finding a good pet there, so not sure about that instance. Its been a while since I've been to Nek 3 too, so not sure what mobs are charmable there (there used to be a big time nuker in there ).

Heroics in raid zones (mostly just thinking Lyceum) are no longer charmable though.

Faeries guarding one of the last 3 named in OoB Doomwing Skarize anything Many droag sentries in several t7 instances (HoF, Vaults, etc) Quellithulian assassins in Vaults are a few off the top of my head Seems that there are many uncharmable droags I've come across

All of Nek 3 is immune, most of Vaults is immune excluding the casters, since LU31 there are a ton of new "charm immune" mobs. Gotta love this crap.

HoF is the bread and butter with all sorts of nasty pets. Try an Infiltrator you'll be hooked.

That's an interesting point for anyone who hasn't tried it out. You can save yourself a lot of frustration by attempting to possess a mob, quickly cancelling out of the cast if it starts, in order to see if you can charm it. It can save you a lot of grief of having your group kill the current mob, or dropping the group buffs you're carrying, only to find out that you can't charm that mob you've always been able to charm before. I don't understand why so many mobs are immune these days. I loved the crates in Nek3. Now? I think there might be 2 mobs in that whole zone you can grab. In OoB, I liked the winged apprentice mobs. IIRC, the last time I was there, I couldn't get one of those either. I understand how unfair it is that I used to be able to charm a dragon, but now? This is getting boring.

It does make illusionist more and more appealing over coercer.
