I am dps spec'd atm having chosen STR line (4-4-6-8-2) and AGI (4-4-8-7-2) in the KoS tree plus the combat and buff lines in the EoF tree.

What would you consider to be the best equipment for a melee mystic in the game (maximizing dps?) I want to compile a wish list of several for each item (for example the best item(s) for the slot from KoS and then best from EoF, etc.)

For example:

Head: Rougarou Hood from the Pumpkin Headed Horseman in Loping Plains

Weapon: I haven't decided!

Gloves: Handguards of Primeval from Freethinker's Hideout (Malkonis D'Morte)

etc.

I am interested in this as well, particularly what sort of weapon people are using. I just reactivated a long-sleeping level 60 mystic (now 64) a week ago. He had 11 AAs and no EoF AAs and now has 45 AAs and the final abilities in AGI and Combat. I solo most of the time. I had been using an ebony bo staff that my other character made, but recently picked up a 40-200 (4.0 delay) staff with a slightly higher damage rating. It always seems to hit for 388 (almost no variation in damage except for occasional hits of 450ish). I have never used a shield -- should I be doing so? I do have a couple of decent shields, but no 1H weapon. Do people use 1H+shield or just 2H? Are there good 1H weapons that make this worthwhile? I've only ever used crushing weapons -- am I missing out on some good piercing weapons? For armor/items, I generally look for STR/STA/AGI items and if they have wisdom, that's a bonus.

My Current Weapons: 1H: aITEM 1383980979 -978387376:Serpentine Skewer/a 2H: aITEM -1941013690 1902363720:Grotrot, the Flayer/a

----------- Atho - 70 Mystic Jeag - 70 Shadowknight Kapski - 70 Conjuror Jweer - 70 Ranger Ajuco - 57 Necromancer Rore - 50 Assassin

When do you use the 1H one versus the 2H one.

>>>Are you absolutely certain you aren't a monk with identity issues?<<< No, I am not certain I have a Paladin that does most of her damage using spells and is usually the healer when she groups. I have a Mystic that does most of his damage using CAs and is usually DPS in groups.

Im terrible at remembering the names for things. But I can give you a general idea of where something comes from, you would just have to look it up and put it together.

2hander - contested dragon in temple of scale drops a 1-400 dam 4.0 delay 2-hander. (a bleh proc) With 100% crits this is a beast. 1hander - club from the tree on the 3rd floor of EH. great damage spread rare but narley proc good choice for the "sword and board" dps build.

Other items are going to very a lot. You are going to want lots of str lots of haste and lots of dps. Things like the Roug hood are great for such. Sadly our fabled EoF class set leaves a lot to be desired +str wise even though I would probably try and run with a 3 peice set so you can run bolster with faster recast and longer duration if you speced that way.

I'm really horrible about building an all time "wish" list.

Edit: removed a site refrence as some peeps might find it questionable.

Can my dog be considered equipment? He's quite disposable...

I wish my dog would live longer, and had a silence command.

OHHHHH, I vote for a silence command for dogdog. It gets irritating after having him out for awhile.
