Question on weapons

I have just started a bruiser and he's lvl 18 now.  Up till now I have been using fists only and I am going down the str line.  I was wondering if it would be worth my while to also keep the other weapons skills up or not?

You certainly won't be needing slashing or piercing until you hit endgame (there are very very few bruiser weapons that are not crushing). And should something awesome drop for you, just equip a vendor weapon of the correct type, go to the instance in Everfrost with the mid-30s epic, stick yourself on autoattack and read a book for a bit. Glance up every few minutes to see if you need to self-heal. Presto. But really, you'll want to be using barefists from the moment you get 17 AAs up until mid 60s at least.. so don't worry about it until then <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

A quick question at the other end of the scale. When you do get to the 60's what damagae rating weapons would you need before its worth re-specing your AA lines away from bare fists (I know these weapon specific lines will be changing somewhat in an upcomming GU). I see a few nice looking items on the broker but wouldn't want to spend coin them, and then make things worse, eek. Also are there any items worth keeping a look out for, my bruisers in the late 50's at the moment and hes been a lot of fun to play so far <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<p>Depending on your play style, I would reccommend going weaponless and pointing AA's in the str line 4/4/8 so that you get the 96% dbl attack bonus.  In addition, you prob do more damage with your bare fist up until you hit T6 and T7 where you can get weapons that do more damage.</p><p>Any thoughts!</p><p>lol - What tt6 said ... </p>
