Guk's Public Chats and Mail service is down again

It's been down since like this morning atleast, and was down more than a week and a half ago for a day or two.  This is ridiculous and honestly very disturbing.  3 years into the games life it's still having this severe of problems, that go unfixed for days?

Aye, Mistmoore's got the bug too, no guild chat, etc. Glad we use Vent, but doesn't mean we all can!!

Unfortunately, there's an issue that is affecting many servers that are located on the East Coast USA.  Although Guk is a West Coast USA server, it is affected by similar circumstances that we are investigating. The affected servers should be repaired soon.  There is no ETA at this exact moment, but when I hear one, I'll let everyone know.

This bug (public chat channels) is happening on Runnyeye too. I have no access to any chat channels (they don't even show up as an option).

This is a devastating problem that will be remembered for years to come--"The Great Mail Crash of 2007".  It's gone on for what, a week so far?  And still no explanation or ETA?  There needs to be an announcement on the eq2players front page, in addition to whatever dev responses we manage to get in the forums.

Ive only checked on 5 of my toons so far, but they are unable to interact with the broker also.

The broker merchant problem is because I tried to interact with a mailbox before anything else on each toon. Logging back to character select to clear that interaction allows me to access the merchants. Soz for the 3 posts in a row.

Soz for the 3 posts in a row.</blockquote> A _partial_ workaround is to use /cancel_mail, which will cancel your attempt to access the mailbox.  It doesn't fix the basic problem, but it does enable you to access merchants and such after a failed mailbox attempt without having to zone out first.

Any updates?  This game isn't even worth playing without mail and chat...I can't get anything tradeskilled without having to run from city to city and I can't find groups without the chat channels.
