Toying around with a smite-build at lower levels, the class is a blast to play...its got me curious though. where do we stand in the priestly order for named solos? Specifically compared to Mystics?

HI Raji Im in the same position as you, trying to maximise our priestly DPS when soloing. Read down the forums and there are some really good posts about the AA build/gear to make soloing that bit less painful. That said I'm still struggling myself..lol

<p>our soloing is never going to be fast or easy i'm afraid.</p><p>BUT even though i'm specced mainly for healing i can take out the first Named in Nest ( a Kingdon of Sky instance) fairly easily - which a number of classes can not do or struggle a lot more to do. However it did take me a few deaths to work out a successful strategy - ie what to precast, in what order, etc..  so learning your class, its abilities. weaknesses and strenghts can not be under estimated.</p><p>Against solo mobs we can do okay - slow but okay.</p><p>Against multiple mobs however we have serious problems due to many many interrupts and our low dps meaning we simply can not kill them fast enough before they kill us - so call for help !</p><p>re Mystics, i regularly group with a very good mystic - they are awesome healers and because of the order in which heals work they regularly top heal parses - BUT i have on occasion beaten her <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.  They suffer from poor dps like us but with the added drawback that they dont wear plate armour - so when they get hit they die, quickly......    whereas i will take a few hits and survive to carry on healing. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

Its simply if we can kill named solo. Simply put: How do we stack up against mystics/inquisitors/other priests on solo named kills?
