View Full Version : Ability to turn off combat music separately
I don't know if anyone else finds this annoying, but after listening for years to the combat music, I'd simply like the option to keep zone music on and to turn off combat music. I still love to hear some of the eerie sounds of unrest, cmm, etc... yet find myself turning off all the music simply for the fact that I don't want to hear combat music everytime we engage.

Under Options>Sound there is a volume tree. Open this up and you will see a slider to turn down combat music. Thanks.

I love a lot of the zone musical scores and this will be nice to enjoy them without the combat music. Another option would be to introduce a new combat music score in RoK *wink*

Keep up the great work!

Yes, some additional zone-based combat themes would be nice. Perhaps give boss mobs their own set of music?

Wasn't the music zone based ages ago? I think to remember the combat music in Antonica was different to Thundering Steppes.

What LordPazuzu was referring to is the combat music; it's the same no matter what zone you are in. He was referring to offering varied musical scores for when in battle.

It would be great if the same option existed for the deeply-repetitious-and-frustrating tradeskill instance music. It almost makes original Rivervale music sound good!

There is a checkbox under Options>Sounds>General tree that says "Force Looped Music". If this is unchecked it should only have the tradeskill music (and all other zone music) play once instead of loop. If this is not the case let me know and I will look into it.

Ooooh. It was ticked, I hadn't realised what it did. I have unticked it and turned music back on. Thank you!

(they dont play at all after a few combat) This happened at least 2 times after long play sessions in Darkland woods. Is there a problem with "custom_music" folder

I have combat music off and that is a nice feature. The only thing I wish were different about it is that when I go into combat the regular zone music stops until combat is over.

It would be nice if there was not this music dead zone while in combat if you dont want combat music.

I think actually it's an issue with combat music in darklight woods -- I had problems with this last night. It was a bit late for testing, but effectively I found that after a fight, combat music simply stayed on. I'm planning on playing around this evening to see if I can work out the exact circumstances, but the one thing I know I changed was the forced loop music setting.
