Ok, I've decided to give EQII another whirl. It's been well over a year since I last played and I have a *lot* to learn and re-learn before I will feel comfortable. I have a level 30 Wizard that I plan on sticking with. First off, I'm trolling the forums and getting a lot of good info but any additional tidbits on what has changed and what I might be missing (for example, what happened to my master strike spells?) I would really appreciate it.

To the point though, I am largely a solo player. I do enjoy groups and will join them on occasion but I find my playing time so random that it's hard to get in regular groups. So, I tend to quest mostly. That said, at level 30 I've done most of the Nek quests and the early one's in Zek (that I could easily do solo). Where else can I go for solo questing at this level? I know ROV is good in groups but it's certainly not solo friendly (at least at this level).

Thoughts? I do prefer to quest rather than grind but I did grind about half of my way through level 30 just to get back into the groove of combat and such. Any direction you could throw my way would *really* be appreciated.

Master strikes are now based solely on the Lore & Legend quests that you've completed and all are located in one omnibus master strike icon. Right clicking on it brings up a box with a list of which master strikes you have. Makes it a lot simpler, since you no longer have to remember which master strike is which in a row of identical icons.

At level 30 you have Butcherblock - think Thundering Steppes - and Steamfont - think Zek/Enchanted Lands. That is IF you've gotten the most recent expansion, Echoes of Faydwer. It's well worth getting since it offers play areas and quests from level 1 through level 70 and a new race to play, the fae.

My suggestion would be enchanted lands. There are lots of solo quests to be found that are fun and easy to do. If you have access to invis/stealth then you can also do a few of the harder ones. I also find it a bit safer/easier than zek for being solo in - not everything wants you dead

Also, if you have the splitpaw saga adventure pack, there are plenty of quests to do there and for the most part can choose whether to do solo or group versions. The mobs also scale to your level (up to 50 or so), so can be an interesting place for many levels.

Good info guys. Thanks. I'm going to pickup the expansion today so will give that a shot. Also, where do you get the quests to get the Master Strike spells?

Welcome back.

If you have not done the solo quest line in TS then see the guy right when you enter from Antonica "Watch your step in Thundering Steppes" is a great solo quest line and gives a ton of AA. He will send you to EL at the completion to start the solo quest line there.

Try Butcherblock Mountains out. And Steamfont Mountains starting at 35. Steamfont is an awesome zone. I played in Steamfont pretty much from 35 until 50. The Department of Gnomeland Security offers tons of good quests.

At lvl30 go to Butcherblock Mountains and do those quests before they grey out. The final reward for the last quest is a nice peice of EoF legendary.

The name of the quest is: All Quiet on the Western Front? You can't just do this one quest though. You have to do the entire series of quests but it is well worth it for the AA alone.

Two of my gals, one on Kithicor and one on Test, are in the right level range and already working that quest line. Thank you for the information.
