The Loping Plains zone in EoF displays an entirely black screen, but I can see my UI and communicate with my guild (and luckily port out/use spells). What I have tried: Deleting everything with Loping Plains in it and downloading through patcher Reinstalling all of EQ2 and going through hours and hours of patches What I haven't tried: ??? ???

The most likely reason for this is that you need to update your graphics card driver.

That is great news, but its only that ONE zone? still think its the drivers? I will of course give it a shot anyways *update* updated my drivers, and no, loping plains still doesn't work

I've been reading through the forums on this problem, I've tried deleting my cache, eq2.ini, and files including my characters name. But none of that worked, the other solution I saw was to uninstall my firewall, but I'm just using windows firewall, and not sure what to do. Loping plains is the only map that wasn't fixed with a re-install, and driver update.

Are you saying when you open the map in LP it is black? Or when you zone in your entire screen is black?

The entire screen, except my interface.
I have this same exact problem. I've reinstalled the game, I've downloaded from patcher, I've re-installed windows, I've upgraded my pc... Still no dice. I have a C2D 6420, 2GB RAM, 7800 GT. SoE tech support has supplied no remedy to this for 2 months. I'm dealing with BFG tech support now, and still haven't resolved the problem.

Hmm, yeah I'm using a 8800gts, maybe it could be a flaw with Nvidia graphics cards and their drivers...
BFG tech support thinks that the only probable cause for it is that my installation of windows has corrupted DirectX files... If you find any remedy to the problem let me know, not having access to LP is a major problem.

If you figure it out and that works, could you post it here? I really want access to loping plains, as I've just gotten high enough to really do the stuff in there.
No one has any ideas how to troubleshoot this? Both BFG Tech AND Sony Tech have given up trying to resolve this problem... Any suggestions would be really appreciated.
