<p>Where can i download this? Or is it not available? I have a geforce 8600 card and im not sure if dx10 is installed or not. Is there a way i can check? Im running vista. Thanks.</p><p> Oh and this is to better my graphics in everquest II, lol. </p>

It was introduced with Vista, and it's the only DirectX Vista supports at the moment (although DX10 includes backwards compatibility with DX9 so non-Vista-specific games will run). You might try the DXDIAG command to get info on DirectX.

I'm against cripple-ware, spy-ware, and nanny-ware in general, so Vista is not something I envision ever being on a machine I own.
