Is there a way to take highres screenshots? Currently it's JPEG. When I unclick JPEG in the options it takes it in TGA, which is fine, but it won't open in anything when I attempt to view them.

You need a better picture viewer/editor than Paint. Try searching for the [Removed for Content] an open source, free picture editor.

I used Microsoft Office Picture Manager. When that didn't work I used photoshop. Once it didn't work in Photoshop I check the properties and found all of the .tga files were only 1k in size.

The [Removed for Content] is probably the best free image editor you're going to find. Very nice product.
