anyone care to share their pvp tactics for when HT is down?

I some other newb ?'s also

1.since i play on a pvp server should i go STR or STA when speccing? do i have enough points to go 4-4-8 int, reaver, and do the str and sta lines for T7?

2.How exactly does reaver work, the tooltip icon on the Abilities page doesnt sound too enticing,..is it worth it?

3. do the dots crit,...if i spec in spell crits im wondering what spells will be affected by the increased spell crit ability. will the spell crit aa's benefit the fetid strikes and unholy weapon buffs? does it apply to my blessing dmg? how about the healing portion of my blessing. (as far as i can tell, it seems the blessings dont seem to scale well at higher levels,..am i correct?)

4. i keep seeing posts about speccing so that attacks have a lifetap,...does that mean that theres an AA that im not seeing that adds a lifetap to all my strikes/combat arts? or is it refrencing the HT AA that adds a lifetap to HT, or maybe they mean improved unholy weapon aa???

thanx for the help from all of you that have helped me so far,...your advice has been a lifesave for me.

No clue for PvP, but Divine Aura is godly imo, so I'd pick the Sta line. 2. Reaver is related to your point 4, every spell you cast will give you 2,5% of your health back. It works only for spells and not for combat arts, taunts are considered spells. 3. Yes, dots can crit. With each spell crit, the heal you get out of it crits as well. The unholy weapon and the group version are based on melee crits, if the melee attack crits, the heal crits as well for what I could notice, I may be wrong on this. The blessing scales nicely but it's weaker as you approach the level where you replace it.: the lvl 12 one so to say is very good for a few levels, but the more you are close to 26 (where you get the upgrade) it gets a bit weaker. 4. See point 2. In the EoF tree the reaving line can help with lifetapping, because you get a lifetap component on your Coil line and on the harm touch, it's a good line overall.

aa goes int reaver sta in that order. every spell you cast you will will be healed for 2.5 of your health, but costs 1% of your health every 3 secs or so. so u wanna constantly cast while its up. taunts proc it to =] if its a spell it'll crit off int aa. and yes buffs crit aswell you can add life tap to crim coil and HT through aa. hope this helps

In my humble opinion, scratch STR and STA and go WIS.

WIS line will make sure more spells land, something like 3 out of 4 rather than 1 out of 2. Landing spells is far more important than having bigger hps or being able to self haste. This is true because if yu don't land, Reaver will not proc, you will not do dmg, you've wasted anywhere between 1-4secs (depending on ratio of interupts) on casting a spell that didn't land (additionally you will be harder to interupt).

I plan on going (only 76AA here) as my final crusader spec 1 of the following 3.

1. INT: 4,4,8 WIS: 4,4,8 AGI: 4,4,4,5

2. Int: 4,4,8 WIS: 4,4,8 STA: 4,4,4,5

3.Int: 6,8,8,0,2 WIS: 4,4,8,8,2

Of course this is only a matter of opinion, ask any other pvp SK and they'd give you a totally different spec based on their playstyle.

honestly if you are relying on your HT to win a fight you wont get very far. For me in pvp the best set up in low tears is to go with your wisline. Battle leadership allows you to run in your def sance and not loose and s/c/p disruption ups your ordination. Only thing you wont have is the intel. When you get to t7 it comes down to who can get there stuff of first so right now iam stg line and spell crit. You also want a lot of stuff that will proc either off of a spell or attack those are free hits.

For pvp, what makes the sk tick are the lifetaps. As soon as a lifetap comes back up, hit it. If its gonna be a drawn out fight, turn off reaver and only use your lifetaps. Otherwise, go with reaver and hit them with everything. remember to keep your target debuffed, and use those two knockbacks you have for when they lool like they are using their big hitters. FD their target off you if you run around a corner for cover. Keep good gear. Several sets of it with different foci. Gray mobs are actually gonna heal you more than hurt you. Especially gray encounters (the vv or vvv kind) so run into their midst and hit tap veins (if you are 55 already) and get full health.

hell ya forgot about aeng mobs ll also burn life taps on mob because of the bigger heal you get. If you have the signet from light to darkness low con mob proc it lke mad. also f you leave your reaver up and AE heals from that and there higher heals
