Assuming it was the same person, does anyone remember the name of the (gnome?) inventor of the clockwork flying whirli-thingies seen in Nektropos Castle, Obelisk of Lost Souls and Obelisk of the Blight? And does he have any particular connection to the shadow creatures or the Void?

The Tinmizer contraptions were removed from Nektropos. Vhalen once commented on him though when someone last asked. He has nothing to do with the flying contraptions found in the Void though.

I believe the story goes that Tinmizer fiddled around with some of these contraptions, but he didn't actually create them himself. If you do a search for his name on these forums, you should be able to discover some more info on him.

I think it was the one after the Guard Captain, but not 100% sure on that.

Huh. Thats odd. I haven't seen them in ages. Maybe they no longer spawn after you've beaten the zone once and unlocked the doors.

I remember the name now, thanks, and wonder if there is any connection to the Tinmizer in Baubbleshire? Maybe a relative or descendant? You know, the gnome you speak to after auto-finding his "bag of parts" when entering Baubbleshire from the mariner's bell.
