My GF just started the betrayal of her L19 Necromancer and didn't realize this might mean changing classes. Is there any way she can just go to Freeport, or is she forced to the Path Of Righteousness?

If you meant she betrayed from Neriak to Qeynos, I believe you can go to Antonica and talk to the Dark Elf near the North Qeynos gate and start doing quests to build up faction with Freeport.
Going to Freeport isnt betrayal so if youve started the move to haven then stop now. Going to freeport, from reading other threads, is a simple matter of speaking to someone in one of the freeport zones and doing a few simpel tasks. No spell loss, no class change nothing.

I think it's time you find a new girlfriend.

Has she already gone into exile? If not, I believe she can just delete the betrayal quest she is on. Once she is exiled in haven, as stated above she can do faction quests in Antonica to get her faction up with Freeport. Once she gets faction up to 10K she can talk to her class trainer in FP to get her citizenship, but all her spells will be reset to Apprentice 1 at that time. Hopefully, she stopped before going into exile. She should in that case be able to simply apply for citizenship in Freeport and not lose her spells.

You can go to either Freeport or Neriak once you are in exile, but you will reset your spells once you talk to your class trainer and get your citizenship.

I am not completely certain, but I do not believe there are faction quests for Neriak, so you would have to do the faction quests for Freeport and get Freeport citizenship first if you wanted to then do the citizenship quests for Neriak.

She's a Necro, Necros are evil, Freeport is evil, lots of Necros live in Freeport, they're perfectly welcome & happy there.

She would have to change classes only if she betrayed to Qeynos. Changing from Neriak to Freeport does not require betrayal. She made the mistake of betraying when it was not necessary. If she was lucky and stopped the betrayal process before going into Exile, then she is in luck and can then just change her citizenship to Freeport. If she is in Exile, then she needs to do the faction quests and betray back to being evil and get her Freeport citizenship. You can actually betray back to the same faction once your are in exile, but you will have your spells reset. I did this on my Troub when I betrayed to a dirge. I betrayed from Qeynos back to Qeynos to change my class.

Yes, she went into Exile, apparently unaware of the whole good/evil class thing. So she needs to talk to the DE near Qeynos, and that will get her FP faction so she can rejoin the side of evil? Is there a walkthrough/guide for that?

I would suggest using eq2i.com http://eq2i.com/articles/Qeynos_Sab...ort_After_Exile

btw- the loyalty quests give the most faction, 5k each.

Also, if you're a nice boyfriend, you could group up with her and help her do the faction quests.

Level 19? Sorry to say, just roll another necro and do it right, a whole lot easier.

A day, maybe 2 to get to 19.

If u work, have family, kids, responsibilities it takes a little longer. Casuals might take a week to get to 19 or 20 in my experience.

Going from Freeport to Neriak does NOT mean she has to change class. She will still be a necro after joining Neriak. Necros are evil, and both Freeport and Neriak are evil. She should NOT betray into exile. Just walk into Neriak and do a citizenship quest. Freeport characters are accepted in Neriak regardless. If she's already betrayed and gone exile, then that was the wrong thing to do. I suggest she start over again. Fixing her exile status will take longer than starting over from level 1.

I suggest that she delete her necro and start over. You can get to level 19 in a matter of hours just by discovery xp and high level collections (provided you have the plat for it). Only downside is having to get her casting skills upto par with her level.

Have to agree. Having done the Q to FP betrayal a number of times, it will probably be much more time efficient for her to just reroll and try again than to work to regain FP citizenship.

Betrayal faction building is easy. If she's an exile, then just take her to Neriak's or Freeport's citizenship NPC and start working faction. Sure it's a grind, but it's also XP and game experience, and you'll be ready for future characters who might want to betray for real. Then again, I've always been a fan of betrayal, with an evil frog and a good troll, ogre and rat.

P.S. if evil side is like good side these days, Neriak citizenship may have way easier faction quests than FP citizenship; Kelethin is certainly easier and faster than Qeynos. My rat is the only one that's done the new style betrayal, and saved a lot of work by doing Kelethin's easy faction first, to become good, then doing the quick change of address quest to go from Kelethin to Qeynos.
