This is something that has bugged me since my first day in game and I have yet to hear a logical explination. What is the deal with the armor flaps? You know the ones that I'm talking about the flaps the hook at the belt and cover your toon to the knees. I know what they could protect but do they have to be so bulky.

Here I am sneaking around with my assassin and ive got this big flap made of chain mail swining around its no wonder ever mob in the game knows im there I sound like Santa Claus with all the noise I'm making.

At least the chain is flexible. And hauberks did/do hang down like that.

Check out the plate armour. Those clunky slabs of metal that hang down in front and back, they'd make it impossible to walk, let alone perform any martial actions at all. And, because we know that, when we see them they look stupid.

I'd rather see a little chainmail hang down front and back than those slabs of plate. We have chain under plate armour anyway, and visually already exists on some areas of the models (inside of the elbow and the like). I wouldn't mind the stomach of plate armour being replaced by a chain graphic also, as the existing graphic would be equally impossible and harmful to the wearer. And get rid of them dangerous adornments on the plate shoulders an all, they'd just catch a blade and steer it home rather than deflect it.
