Today I was wiping dust off my game shelves and I spotted my old box of Everquest 2. The game which I could not get into long time ago. But after years of poisoning my brain with WoW I feel a need in something that is more sophysticated, more complex than WoW.So I re-installed the game and I am patching it now. I do not own any expansions, so I would like to ask if there is any reason I should get expansions over playing original version?

I agree with the other posters.  you want Echoes of Faydwer.  I think you can get it for 30 bucks now and it includes all expansions. you get two new races and , esp if you have played EQ1, faydwer is really nice.   and faydwer is lvl 1-70 as well.   so you can start a character there and stay in the new zones your whole career if you wish

I bought the Echoes of Faydwer and it has everything that I've been reading about here and there on the forums. This game is really different than SWG on many scales. My homie played WoW for the longest time, I kinda clicked around on it here and there on his computer but I just couldn't seem to get into it. He finally left WoW and started EQ2 again; the more I saw of this game and messed around with it the more I decided to leave SWG for a bit. Hard to leave a game that you've accomplished so much.....ok....obtained everything lol. O well > : )

I think by new stat system, they mean achievement points, which is similar in comparison to WoW's talent system. Only I think EQ2 system has more options and variety.
