STR+ WIS or AGI+WIS

Been STR + AGI for a good few months now have most of the decent KOS DW stuff, been very unlucky on EoF DW, just never seems to drop for us much... Anyway, Got an ancient sarnak war cutlass and want to try the 1h approach for a month or 3 for a change. Would an agi/wis build for raiding be recommended or a str/wis cookie cutter type. I do still solo, nothing serious, mostly PP runs if i cba. Also still run grp EoF instances when i get bored. Other guild brigs are STR/WIS and parse quite well but im wondering if pirate stab might be better still than all that extra Crit chance. any ideas?  Infact ill probably try both eventually but your experiances now would be good to kick me in the right directions <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> thx

<p>Str/Wis and Agi/Wis are both equally good depending entirely upon your weapon.</p><p> Str focuses on Crits alot, so if you have a huge damage spread on your weapon the Str line will shine alot more, since a bigger damage spread = bigger crits. Also the Str line debuffs are sweet <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Str can also benefit a TON more from haste if you are using that big delay weapon.</p><p> Agi would be for your smaller spread faster weapon. In order to benefit from your Auto Attack between CAs you need your weapon to be no faster than 1 second (else you lose potential auto attack damage, which is significant), but with sailwind you can get it as fast as .8 seconds. (meaning a 1.6 delay could actually benefit from as much as 100% haste, whereas with str you would be overhasted and actually lose damage)</p><p> so for example, Axe of the Bloodbeast has something like 25-156 base damage and a 2.5 sec delay, would be Great for the Str/Wis build, but the Qeynos Killij, with 1.6 second delay and 31-92 damage would rock with Agi.</p><p> Hope that helps <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

since it's a war cutlass, i'd say go with str/wis. you'll miss out on torp/wtp. but the damage spread and delay are better for it.

That's all good advice IMO. Also remember, since you said you still solo some, that the AGI/WIS build is based on a lot of procs that only occur from behind the mob. In those situations when you are soloing, you'll be losing some of that proc damage.
