Delete or not to delete

<p>Hi,</p><p>Maybe I should put this in the newbie area but I wasn't sure.</p><p>I have been playing for 5 months now - mostly a conjuror and a wizard.</p><p>I have two new toons an illusionist and a coercer that I have been experimenting with.  Both are lvl 12</p><p>The coercer dies a lot  <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />   </p><p>Anyway not to be long winded here my question is this:</p><p>Should I even keep them?</p><p>I have read the sections on the different classes and read here in the gameplay discussion.</p><p>It seem rather daunting at best to even play these two classes.  Personally I find them interesting and</p><p>with potential.  But would I be better off trying  a different class?  Is there a place for them in groups?  </p><p>Apologizes if I sound dumb  <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />   </p>

<p>That would be totally up to you. </p><p>You have 7 character slots, try out different toons. Delete the ones you know you won't play in order to try out different classes you would like to play. </p><p>If I would choose between keeping one of the enchanters (coercer/illusionist), I would go with illusionist for now as coercer has some nuances that are hard to deal with until you master the class. After you play with a coercer and get it down, though, you can do a lot of soloing with the right pet. </p>

choose 1 and delete the other =) playing a illu and playing a coercer in groups is the "same" ....dont lvl both =/ is like playing the same class (Soe hint!) my coercer is retired tried illu , how powerfull personae is at low lvls O_O is like duoing 2 illus ! but stoped at 15-16

Keep what you -enjoy- playing.  You'll die less once you get comfortable with your class and learn all the tricks of the trade. The enchanter classes are challenging to play, but can be very rewarding if you stick with them.

<p>Odd about the coercer dying so much - I tried my first chanter with the Neriak expansion, and have him at lvl 17 with one death - after suffering 7 resists in a row on an orange con mob. I have been able to take yellows, including ^ heroics without a problem, but that orange con just resisted everything I threw at it. </p><p>Note that I have upgraded his spells to AD3 in most cases. One of my alts had a lvl 20 "Coerce" master drop last night <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

I wouldn't delete any character unless all your slots are full and you want to make a new character.  It's always handy to have characters of different levels!

14 slots if you include EU servers. I have my "good" characters on a US server and my "evil" ones on a EU server. Ya, I have 14 characters. -_-

I wouldn't delete them just yet. Delete them when you deem them as "No longer fun to play". When you log on and you are not having fun, then the game is not meeting its purpose. As Sav said, high level Coercers and Illusionists are pretty awesome. The ones I know are never wanting for groups either, but getting there solo with those chars is a bi***. Try out some other chars too.You have at least 7 slots. Try out a Monk/Brusier for when you get so frustrated with dying that you just want to beat the unholy living crap outta stuff. I love my Bruiser for that. It's a different style of play than finger wiggling and it may just refresh your desire to perservere with your other 2 chars.
