I recently made 70 with my Templar and decided to slow down and enjoy questing at leisure...even the lower levels to see what things I missed.

I decided to do the Shimmering Citadel quest line to get into the Poets Palace. Well, one of the rewards along the way was a carpet you get to put in your house...nice round carpet...that at any time...from your house you can port directly to SC! I was amazed the first time I did it. Because I live in Kelethin...this is a big deal to me.

Are there any other "knock-your-socks-off" rewards out there?

If you earn the trust of the gnolls in Splitpaw, you can purchase an Azure Shard which will allow you to port to TS whenever you want. (There's a 45 minute timer or something.)

As far as porting goes you also can get call of ro (Ports you to maj dul - seperate timer than your regular call, and easy enough to carpet to the SS docks and carpet back to your city) by doing a series of quests once you choose a maj'dul faction (Blades/coin/truth)

J

I remember doing this with my main character umpteen months ago and want to get this carpet for my alt (main is from Freeport, alt. is from Qeynos). Would be nice to have this on my alt. so I don't have to sneak in to Freeport or run from house to house looking to see if anyone else has the carpet (I THINK you can still use the carpet if you're listed as a visitor . . . but it's been a while since I've tried).

I've gotten Poet's Palace access. I even got that mirror that sits in your charm slot that will port you and your party up to the Shimmering Citadel from either Sinking Sands or the Pillar of Flames. I just haven't seen the quest that gives you the rug. I'd love that rug because it gets you closer to Poet's Palace and I don't have to be in DoF to get there. So, anyone remember the quest, or the series of quests, needed to get that rug?

- Charn, et. al.

The quest that actually gives the carpet..."the shimmering carpet of the citadel"...is called "The Caretaker."

I can't remember is you said you already had access to the Shimmering Citadel or not...if not...this entire quest line begins by talking to "Zeke Two Tone" in MajDul...he starts you on the Name of My Forefathers quest.

If you already have access I believe the first quest in the Shimmering Citadel is called "The Master's Museum."

Try this link...

http://www.eq2i.com/articles/The_Master%27s_Museum

There is a plant recipe in one of the EoF epic zones (sorry not sure which one) that can port from your house in FP or QN to GF. Nice not to have to wait for boat.

The item has 2500 status reduction and allows you to port to GF.
