A splash or two couldn't hurt (no pun intended :p

yeah a splash or two like during a "bleed" effect might work. but we definately dont need it with every sword swipe or something. not every strike is gonna go thru the armor and tear the skin.

I strongly support Blood as well...

There is only one reason we don't have blood at this moment, while game had T rating, they still want to sell 13 minus.

Blood, splashing, or particle, definitely make it realistic.

Hmm...

I would love to see blood+damage appear on armor more and more as the durability went down... so if you were at 10%, you'd look like you were thrown in a blender, while at 100% you'd be all shiny and pristine.

Not having blood is a pretty economically decision, not only for US ratings, but for international sales as well. Im not sure if it still applies, but I know of several games that in past had to turn their blood into 'gore' to be able to sell in some countries, and most european countries rate opposite of the states. You accept violence and blood whilst ban nudity and sex, we do it the other way around. Granted, EU market isnt very big, but it is there and its very underutilized by the genre, so why alienate it?

So there is not actually a legal problem for that. Ofcourse, if SOE also wants lower age kids to play game too, which obviously visible as we see them around a lot.

Me-thinks that isn't quite the actual stance.

Looks like it's time for another server this time it will be "Blood Server" [R]
Why blood only ? I want the total splatter if an Asassin uses Decapacitate I wonna see a head rolling if a brig used Devitalie the armor goes off then i wonna see how he rams his sword in the targets back and pull it out again and its dripping of blood Rangers headshots with the highest nuker i wonna see how someone gets nailed by a stream of arrows on a wall I wanna see a Berserker gutting his target a Necromancer draining the life out of a dude and we see em slowly dying and crying painfully Wizards flesh gets burned off the bones warlock some kinda of a ccrazy death animation with a lot of painful screams Druids ranks and [Removed for Content] start to grow out of victims and kill them painfully

um gues "this" wouldn't be covered by t rating.....

I would prefer nice fight animations(swg stuff) over that anyway.

The description for my berserker alt says he's crazy, and he bathes in the red water that flows from his victims. I would like him to actually be able to do that. EDIT: EQ2 does have parental settings. why not put them to use, and allow adults to play the game in a different fashion. ;p

I don't care either way. A little blood would be ok, I guess... but no guts, rolling heads and stuff like that, bleh. Please. Personally, I hate that crap.... even in a video game.
