Well, haven't seen the post here, so lets get some speculation going. what do we want? What do we need? etc. the Dev's DO read these boards, and while they likely don't take much into account, its possible, so get ta postin! Personally, having come from defiler--I miss power regen. One spell from EQ would be fun: Doggy Swarm (yes, I know that wasn't the name, buit its awsome). Hell, just a few more fun additions to the class. Anyways, what to the seasoned mystics want?

Spell haste would be nice, and a tougher dog.

Hehe, i have so many ideas I don't know where to start but I try. - Hope they get rid of the dog

I like the dog. gives some nice benefits. One thing I would like is a spell haste, I love the melee attacks so our damage spells can go faster, but wards still take a long time to cast, especially the group ward, and the single target heals.

I would also like to see some Set armor that compliments some of the other specs out there.

I want to KEEP my dog. But i would like to have a light grey one rather then the ghost dog. I d like to have something like amends. A buff i can put on someone and when he gets hit he pulls a medium strong ward off of me. Could also be part of dogdogs abilities. Really, some mages need that I also would like to get a new attendant or that the old ones grow with me. I dont like the fixed level. Edit: And remove the visual effect on bolster and maybe the speed penalty. Wont unbalance the tank if he is able to move in normal speed. Its unconveniant and thats why defilers rule the world

Things I'd like to see........ - Pet buff to make the pet have more survivability and do more damage (perhaps all grouped pets) - Spell casting haste buff (group buff would be nice) - Passive healing buff (like wardens numbing spores) that will ward a bit then heal a bit - Swarm pets (swarm of spirits or spirit wolves) - Health to mana regen spell (canabalise type spell) - Invis. (spirit veil like eq1)

Owlbear, I like most of your ideas. Here are some improvements...

Posted by Owlbear:

Things I'd like to see........ - Pet buff to make the pet have more survivability and do more damage (perhaps all grouped pets)

The current AA Strength line has the final ability to keep AE's from hitting dogdog. Sometimes I think it is broken though as my dogdog hits the dirt when I have him on peace setting. So, just fix this if it is broken.

- Spell casting haste buff (group buff would be nice)

While this would be great, I don't see this as a priest type buff. I think it fits a coercer/illusionist better.

- Passive healing buff (like wardens numbing spores) that will ward a bit then heal a bit

Make Oberon (and upgrades) raid wide and you have your answer. We already have Torpor that will heal over time.

- Swarm pets (swarm of spirits or spirit wolves)

I like this idea. We need something besides our four main damage spells/combat arts.

- Health to mana regen spell (canabalise type spell)

Another good idea, but to keep something different between the shaman classes I think Defilers should keep that to themselves while we keep bolster and torpor to ourselves.

- Invis. (spirit veil like eq1)

This is another great idea. They gave us a little utility when we had our SoW at 50% with AA. Then they took that away, not only taking our 50% away, but making our SoW the slowest SoW in the game. Other SoW's are 45% to our 40%. The other priests (not shaman) also get some neat utility type spells like ports, evac, odessey, in-combat run speed, etc. So, now we have NOTHING in the line of any type of utility. An invis would give us something. I'd suggest bringing back our 50% SoW, but I already purchased a 50% horse after we were screwed.

And one thing I would like to add is: I can't wait to get an upgrade to Torpor!!!! Please devs, put one in.

Zogarr, 70 Mystic, Everfrost

Bolster is raid wide!

Or do you mean... that Bolster will affect all 24 members in a raid?

But to be honest... that would be a BIT overpowerd

Dragmoon

Bolster is currently useable raid wide. I always wanted an AA ability to make it group wide.

OOPS. I misspoke. I was thinking Oberon and Oberon Barrier. Not Bolster which my fingers must have been thinking when my brain typed it.

I will go fix the original post so it is more clear.

Sorry,

Zogarr

Hoping they re-introduce some more focus effects as inherent item properties and as adornments. I.e. Extended Range, Burning Affliction (DoT Booster), etc.

I wouldn't be against getting a Canni ability but something only as powerful as say the Tribal Spiritist Hat, as it stands now it almost is a part of every end-level Mystic's repertoire, might as well make it an 'official' ability.

The swarm pet thing would be cool as well.. picture half dozen of those spirit things from the Wellspring of Nightmares, mebbe change the skull to something less "evil". Though if they were to have one for defilers as well that would probably work good, being necro-lite and all

What would be a unique ability.. I'm thinking something like an out-of-body/near-death experience. It would be a self-only ability, Spiritual Jaunt or something of the like. Drops you to the ground in a death-like state leaving you with 10% hp/power (unless below that on spell completion), with full memwipe, unsummons the spirit wolf and spawns a new one you possess immediately for up to 10 minutes. In spirit wolf form you have no detrimental abilities; you can move around as a neutral target to everything so no aggro and you can't trigger traps, can't attack anything, etc. You can however interact with or pass through doors (maybe something that allows you to clip through "click" objects. This wouldn't allow you to pull mobs or start scripts etc. There is only one 'necessary' ability while in spirit wolf- Spirit Recall in which you immediately return to your body in a prone but 'alive' state (read as laying like a failed FD). I'm thinking another ability would be a 15 min cooldown (longer than the 'possession' spell's duration) single target resurrection "breath of life" with full rez effects and 1hp/power restoration. The benefit is it allows you to safely scout an area, with the side benefit of a ghetto FD and a single target resurrection for flavor and wipe recovery help. I think with a couple second cast time and the hp/mana cost it wouldn't be overpowered... right?

I'd like to see something that speeds up the casting times on our wards. Clerics have an AA to do this plus their legendary set bonus does this also. 5s to cast a group ward is a loooong time when someone is dying.

I hope for something a bit more defensive...

For me, in PVP, Mystics are seriously lacking in a true "Defense" skill. We have our baby-mez, but it's only good once every 3 minutes, and in PVP, I think it only de-targets us for a split second, or at least until they can click on us to target us again.

I know we won't get it, but a root/snare/evac/<insert option here> would be nice. Any form of defensive maneuver would be greatly appreciated IMHO.

May not ever happen, but a girl can dream can't she?

Good thread! Things I'd love to see in Kunark: - Swarm pets - Non-Ghostie Dog - Group SoW - Spirit of Bih-Lih (SoW with a +10 DPS modifier on it like in EQ1) - Haste (Even if it's single target) - A slow that combines the effects of our Melee Slows/DPS debuffs into one spell, with slightly lower overall effect. - STANCES! Offensive Stance for DPS. Defensive Stance for Healing. (They finally gave this to Druids in EQ1... let's get it here so Mystics have more options.) - Dual wield. (Bring us closer to EQ1 Beaslords... I loved the Beastlord!) - Root. Druids got it finally. It's great emergency crowd control and Shamans had it back in the day. - Invis. (At least self) - Epic weapon that can convert from 1h to 2h like the Wurmslayer!

Removing the visual effect on Bolster I would not want to see, that is enjoyable.

I would like to see some sort of heal and/or cure procs. And from spells, not just from items that some have and others don't. It often seems like Mystics are the only priests without them.
