For "Colony" quest in Bonemire, how to get in and out?

I understand there are supposed to be two ways to get into the underwater cave where you have to harvest the ravasect eggs for the Colony quest -- you can jump in the pool at the bottom of the waterfall or you can go thru the cave.  Well, I jumped into the pool and swam down to the underwater cave, but then I couldn't find a way out --  it was quite inconvenient, I had to let my character drown since I didn't want to CQ and he doesn't have evac.  So, I thought I would check out the cave entrance, but the directions lead me to the spot in the screenie, and it doesn't appear to me that you can get into this cave.  Perhaps this is an exit, though, and I somehow missed the way to access this exit when I was in the underground cave?  <img src="http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e294/Draeknar/colony_sm.jpg" border="0">

After going through the underwater tunnel to get to the ravasects, you should be able to find another tunnel out of the that water-filled cave that leads to the exit in your picture.
