We have to taunt at times to keep agro, I think it would make sense to use these as well so that at least our solo HO's also hit for some damage when we taunt.

If you have a group that knows how to use HO's properly, then it's a good idea. Otherwise, they're more trouble than they are worth. Now, when I know that I have my HO chain CA's up, I will throw a quick HO to do a little more damage and proc a little more hate. You have to be quick and know when to do it.

First point, using OH only provide benefits, so why not using them ? It doesn't cost any power or any time. It just requires to get used to it, and preferably to exercise it with always the same pals. Which makes it perfect for stable raid settings.

Worst case, nobody is willing to assit you. Then you will get "Sky Cleave" for free for an extra 300 dmgs every 10 secs or so. From time to time you will get the pleasure for an Hero's Armor which is really worth the benefit.

Best case, your group has some people willing to participate. My usual swash is fond of OH, and he will be really upset when someone misses one. Swindler's gift is providing a nice buff where you are stuck in def mode. There's also a 50 STR buff which is nice to get as well.

With some luck, you will experience Crucible of Life or Luminary Fate. This is the favorite of our top dps wiz, who jumps into Manaburn as soon as he gets it, since he will get his mana back very soon.

I honestly would spend some AA in order to augment the % for uncommon and rare OH. Well... I mean AA from RoK, cause I cannot remove any from my current settings

I would say that Sky Cleave every time is not the worst case. The worst case is the rest of your group screwing up their normal tactics just to get an HO to fire off. I've seen it. And then in the end, the HO puts a reactive on a healer that never gets hit. That's somewhere near the worst case.
