this is my second day back.. i love how good the game is now but i have only 1 question.  i am playing my lvl 33 zerker that still exists and pretty much got all the basics down again. I am on the server Najena but there seems to be very little people to group with.. so i am wondering what is a good server with a LARGE amount of people on it that i could transfer to and how do i transfer my char to a different server and can i do this multiple times? Also is there servers based on regions.. I am from Southern California

huh not sure about population any more. I believe they're basically all the same as all the pve servers load light now except maybe the rp server Antonia bayal. But I've heard some aggravating stories about people never shutting up over there. As for transfers I believe thats all ready done with though it was like a expected 2 months or so in the making. However if uve been gone that long you will notice that game play is considerably more pathetically easy than it was when eq1 first started to the point where u can solo heroic mobs so making lv 33 again is maybe a weeks work? Best just to re roll.

It may be more of just a problem with finding people in your level range. With the game being a few years old, there are a lot of people playing in the level 50+ areas in DoF, KoS and EoF. I recently started playing my old level 38 warden again and I leveled him up to 41 in an hour or so by grouping with people in the Ruins of Varsoon and Runnyeye instances. There still seems to be a few people hanging around in those places. Check out those instances and also find a large guild that will have plenty of people willing to group with you.

I know Crushbone has a fairly high population, and was able to get group pretty easy a few months ago when I played on there in my 20's.  I was a warden though and healers get groups fairly easy.  May I remind you though that the free server transfer are over with and you would have to pay out of your pocket if you wanted to transfer now.  If you think you might enjoy PVP then I would suggest rolling a character on Nagafen.  I was very turned off by PVP in EQ2 when I first heard about it, but then my brother got me playing on it, and it actually really works out well.  I started in March and am now a 52 swashbuckler and was able to get groups on a regular basis from level 15 all the way till now.  There are some nights where I have trouble finding a group, but if that happens there are always plenty of outdoor zones to quest and solo in.  But most of all welcome back.  I'm glad your enjoying the game, hope you don't get too disgruntled with the whole grouping thing.  It can be a pain sometimes, but alts are always being played and if you have patience you'll end up finding a group.  If you are willing to reroll and are all about groups I would definitely roll a healer, they always seem to get groups right off the bat. Safe journies, and I wish you the best of luck in your adventures.

Yeah. If you want to transfer servers, ask support.  It will cost you money. Sony had free transfer time, but that's over. If you want a packed server, go PvP. Why? Simply because they are scarce... and therefore are more popular.  If you don't like PvP... then it's your loss.
