Saturday morning downtime with nothing on the network status page...

Thanks, it's not like we wanted to do Emerald Halls or anything.  Third time in the past four weeks that we've gotten kicked out due to server crashes or downtime not being posted until after we zone in, awesome! Sarcasm aside, this is completely stupid.  We've got every instanced EoF mob except Wuoshi on farm status, yet we're unable to kill it because the freaking server keeps coming down.

It's just on 11pm where I live, why were there no warning messages? There were people mentioning it in-game, but it's 2-3 hours earlier than normal. After running the game for so many years, can't there be atleast an automated mesage in-game?? How about a 2 hour warning, then warnings every 1/2 hour and 1/4 hour warnings in the last hour. It can't be that hard to set a schedule so that broadcasts happen automatically? Grr

i wish SOE wouls send a general email giving a list of all the downtimes for eq2 and eq 1. it tough enough trying to play between jobs and slep. but downtime on servers , come on. let people know a head of time and how long this stuff lasts.

In an effort to "Troll,"   Banshee, lol at your SOGA Assassin, yay another Dark ORC female ..woo   anime ftw again?!!? Ya, I don't mind the sudden downtimes, I can imagine "it" "happens." What I don't like is the inconsistency of not having these automated messages across ALL servers. When you have to ring up a buddy on a different server just to CHECK if there might be some downtime, then you know the technical team and the customer service team must be sulking from a fight they had earlier, and noone wants to pull up their boot straps and get back to work. Oh well, what's a little bit of your Saturday spent sleeping, showering, eating, seeing your wife or kids for more than two minutes, going outside and breathing fresh air... it's not THAT bad. And for people complaining about EH or other instances, grow up...   if you can't CLEAR a raid zone, then you shouldn't be there in the first place. However my sympathies to you none the less. This weekend may be good, with those leaving the game for Labour Day <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> It might shave off some of that server lag from all the bloody Arasai.

Blah blah blah. The important part was you cleared as you say "up to Woushi." Did you need anything from Woushi in particular? The majority of your loot mobs already came and went. See the point? Very upset that Woushi is in EoF and not Wakening Lands (but he was approached to be a Guardian, what can you do?!?!?)           Over here, we take the [Removed for Content] of your holidays and switch them around. END </blockquote>What the heck?  For one, I started this topic.  For two, being as this topic is completely about being booted out of the most important and excessively long zone in the game due to SOE taking the servers down unexpectedly with no chance of planning around the downtime, you attempting to downplay the importance of Wuoshi is a tad annoying.  Especially because it's blatantly obvious that you have *never* raided the zone to begin with because you have no grasp of how long it takes to clear, or what's on Wuoshi's loot table. This downtime wasted an entire day of our lives clearing worthless mobs that dropped nothing but garbage, as well as kicking us out of the zone with a lockout.  There's no zones even remotely worth a crap we're not locked out from, yay for ruining the entire weekend.  Normally I wouldn't be as annoyed, but I've already pointed out that this is the third time this MONTH we've been kicked out of EH before getting to have fun with Wuoshi. It takes us two days to clear FTH/Chel/CMF/MMIS, that's 5 days with nothing but EH, and then we get kicked out after day 1.  That just sucks!

<p>I can understand where you guys are coming from.  It's not the fact that time was wasted, it's the fact that because you've killed a named and the zone is locked or even some instances just zoning is enough to lock it.  SOE need to provide longer warning times that a server downtime is to be expected.  With the introduction of instances up to 8-10 hours long, 2 hours just doesn't provide enough warning time.  Even Unrest can take up to 4 hours, depending on the classes in the group.</p><p> Bad luck guys, I hope SOE helps you guys out.</p><p>Sike</p>
