I first noticed this with the guards outside of Hate's Envy. I had my exile running around there looking for items for a faction quest. This was my first quest, and I noticed the guards were kos, so I invis'd to take a look inside the outpost. Sure enough, the angry red border around their names went away - but when I tried to go into the Outpost, they jumped me! Okay, maybe I forgot to con them both. Once I lost them, I went back to check. Both with red borders to their names when I'm visible. Both lose the red border when I'm invisible. Mouse-over their names in my target window - threatening instead of scowls. Approach while invis - and run for my life again. Maybe it's something specific to the Neriak guards? No... the guards at the Neriak tunnel don't care if I walk past, dance, or make rude gestures at them while I'm invis. Okay, maybe one of the guards is buggy. Later on, I've got my exile sneaking around Qeynos, which he's snuck in and out of multiple times in the past. When invis, the guards in the Peat Bog and the epic at the Antonica dock don't even blink as he goes past. But suddenly both are jumping him, even though they con as not being able to see him. Which was a very unpleasant surprise about that epic, let me tell you. It's not all the guards that are doing this. Some attack, some let my char walk right on by. I don't mind so much that they see him - that's the risks of sneaking into a city that doesn't like you. But why are they conning non-kos? If a character sees through invis, I kind of like to know about it - helps to make those life or death decisions about sneak past/fight through/find another route. Is this happening to anyone else? I've had two characters that have betrayed in the past, and one that's in exile more-or-less permanently, so I know this is a new development with the guards.
