anyone know where this drops? i know it's out in Lesser Faydark somewhere, but not sure which mob...any help would be great

The only cowl of the trickster I seem to remember is a vaults drop but not completely sure. You might want to check out the eq2 xanadu websight. It probably list it.

A guildmate of mine that has it, says it drops from heroic brownies in LFay.  I know that isn't much help, but it's all I know.  I want one.  Badly.

<p>Coming from a Ranger's point of view, the visual on that should be changed to something else. The hood animation is meant to be ours, and ours alone. How would you Assassins/Zerkers/Sk feel if everyone able to wear wear chain/plate was able to run around with your class hat animation? We Ranger's are already highly gear dependant, and our hat should not be usable by others.</p><p>/rantover</p>

Praetorian hood from Pumpkin Headed Horseman looks exactly like one and better (red and dark black). Useable by all scouts.</p>

Edit - I can confirm it drops off heroic brownies only in Lesser Faydark. I got 3 Cowl drops in one go so I'm 100% positive. Good luck!

Any tip on what level heroic brownie? I must have smashed well over a hundred of the little guys and didn't see one. I focused on the 53-55 ones.

I focused on the 53-55 ones.</blockquote><p>After reading this thread, I took my 58 assassin to lfay, and it dropped of the 2nd heroic brownie I killed, a guard at the bottom of the first ramp. Think he'd have been 51-52.</p><p>It might be obvious, but since it's a chest drop, you can't get it if the mobs are grey. So you need a high 50s / low 60s toon to get it solo; otherwise you'll have to buy it or mentor.</p>

are you sure it doesnt drop off (solo mobs) tricksters considering the item name?lol... alright, righter after my mentor target went AFK i got 2 of these things in a minute on those 50/51 heroics guards right up the ramp

I killed many heroic, on the ramp and at the little village when there is even a named. No cowl dropped only adept 1 book. I got the title hunter of brownies. I guess I need to kill more guards or it's a matter of luck.

Well Off and on i have been trying at this hat. i thought even non heroic at first. now i see that heroic.. i have been killing most of the day and not a one im a little tired of it at this point. i have gotten many adepts and so many l and l i have been making a list of all my friends who need them. I have had to mentor many people as none want to stick it out after they get there l and l    I just read this saying most got theres off the lvl 50 and 51 mobs thats worth a try but right now im mentoring a higher toon, so ill have to wait to check this out.  id love it if people continue to post where and what mobs they have luck with . many say only sentries and the preservers but i am curious about this.Ill post when i find some.

I had been looking for this item for some time. I admit i did leave game for a while but just last night i was going up that ramp and within the first 5 mobs we killed ON THE RAMP froped the first chest and it was in it.  i was SHOCKED as my experience prev was BAD.   we kept killing hopeing for another but my friends gave up befor any more droped. but at least you know it still drops.
