There was a thread a few month ago that detailed an easy way to force the game to stop playing the intro movie every time you log on. I've done an in-forum search, a knowledge base search, and even a Google search but I can't seem to find the original article.

Basically, there was some text file somewhere in the EQ2 program folder that had a line you could edit. Changing the setting would load the game normally except that it would bypass the intro movie.

I know it's a small inconvenience to click through the movie every time I log on, but I'd love to remove that agravation however small it may be.

Does anyone remember the file/setting for this?

Modify your eq2.ini file with the following line: cl_movie_enabled 0 That should do it.

It didn't bother me enough before (with the 3 rapid clicks) to find an alternative, like changing the INI file, but now it does.

Kuras he's asking how to disable the movie, not SKIP the movie Try reading the question properly before giving an incorrect response. Yeah we don't care how the intro doesn't bother YOU, but that's not the question here.

I don't get it.. It plays only the very first time I loaded ROK, then when I hit ESC, movie ended and NEVER loads on start up.

I get the SOE splash screen that you can click thru and then right to load or character select.

When I reloaded due to new pc last month same deal. First time playing it showed, ESC and never came up again.

I did not fiddle with setting or anything
