Guild Leaders MIA

<p>Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but here it goes...</p><p> About two months ago, our guild's founder and main leader decided to leave the game (per his in-game mail, he may or may not be back). There are a few other lower-level leaders who can promote/demote/invite, but can't change the guild MOTD, etc. And they haven't even been on in almost a month.</p><p>I'm disappointed because before this, the guild was going strong and a lot of fun. I had put many hours into helping guildies, etc., so I don't want to just leave and join a new guild. A few of us are still around and would like to keep the guild going. </p><p>My question is: is there a way to petition SOE to change the leadership set-up of a guild if it has been shown that the current leaders are MIA?</p><p> Thanks all!</p>

<p>Part of the SOE policy is that names an such dont change with account so "if" you come back you can play. Given that, I doubt they would be willing to change the guild makeup from the way in which the original charter holder left it because "if" he/she comes back and they have been kicked from their guild by someone promoted by SOE they would raise a stink I am sure.</p>

I know on Lucan, SOE has made someone else in a guild leader when the main leader went missing.  Have one of the guild officers petition for leadership stating the reasons why.  I don't think you guys will have a problem getting things back on track.  Good luck to you.

What guys who founded our guild done seems good. At any given time there are 3 leaders, each with full rights. This way even if one of them decides to stop playing guild is still going strong. Vacant position can be fulfilled by some officer. Not much help in your situation now, but might be good solution for future.

<p>In my old guild, our leader went MIA.  I petitioned for leadership, they mailed the old leader, got no reply I think, and the other guild members had to write to SOE stating they wanted me to be leader and voila!  It was done <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  Just petition and they will let you know the process anyway.</p>

One of my alts was placed in ToS months ago to scout for the named (back in the days, when those named were worth going for). When I logged on with him some days ago, I saw that all the leaders had not been online for 2 months, so I petitioned to become leader of the guild, and a few days later I logged on again, and saw, that I was made leader. So it is possible
