WHen ever i try to log in it tells me i have a bad patch and kicks me from the game. is anyone else having a problem logging in since patch... not to mention everytime I restart my EQ2 application it reruns the entire patch and download.

Would love any reasoning that would cause this and fix it.

THanks

p.s. here's the exact message from the error screen

EverQuest II(may 22 2007 13:13:27) USER OPTIMIZED SOEBuild=4109T: Everquest2.exe-Bad Image

THe Apllication or DLL C:Program FilesSonyEverQuest IIMilesmssogg.asi is not a valid windows image. 1. make sure your system date and time are correct 2. verify the eq2 directory is not set to read only 3. verify the windows userid is administrator level 4. delete the files in question and patch again 5. run a chkdsk on your drive - it maybe starting to have an issue If all of that fails you can bite the built and do a fresh download of the game 1. download the everquest.exe patcher from the knowledge base 2. make a new directory on your hard drive 3. expand the downloaded patcher to the directory you created 4. right click the file and send to desktop as shortcut 5. start the new patcher Caution this will take a long time since it will be downloading the whole game new and fresh, if you are on a metered serive for your internet it may exceed your limit

Thansk for the reply Wingrider01. I checked all of my settings to try and disk to check for any errors you listed on why this would be occuring.

Best I can say is that it happened from the patch. THe game certainly gave me no problems on Tuesday when i logged in.

Could I please have an official response as to why this may be happening or a look into it. I would rather not have to do a reinstall. Mainly cause i will not be a happy camper if i need to.

***EDIT***

Somewhere between

Virus Scaning

Defragment on HD

CHKDSK

CLEAN BOOT

And a painful 12 HOUR RE-INSTALL

it started working properly again. Just wish it would not have taken the better part of 4-5 days to fix. I would recommend a more discriptive section in the forum for troubleshooting your machine. It took a while to search posts and guess which ones may have been related to my problem. ANd could give insight as to where to start.
