Rookie GU 35 question about house status..wording

I assume in the update notes this applies to all items in the crate, but once they are moved out of the crate a 500 status item will apply 500 points to your house status? "Items in the moving crate count towards your total item count in your house, but do not provide status cost reduction and are not useable."

I understand this to mean that house items will actually have to be placed in the room to give any status rent reduction. The moving crate would act as an extra house vault for the purpose of moving, so as long as the item is in there, it won't give anything.

I believe this means that while the items in the crate do count toward the total amount of items allowable in a given house, the status items within the crate will not provide their usual reductions until removed, and placed in your new home.

I just want to know about Items from deleted characters? if the character is deleted and no mail can be sent is it stuck in the crate?

I think they were trying to make sure people just did not move, leave all their status reduceing stuff in a crate and put more furnature out with even more status reduction
