Auto ward puts into combat

I was farming with my 70 wiz recently and a scout jumped me, I started to cast evac immediately , not really expecting to get it through as most o f the time it gets interrupted anyway, but then I  saw the casting bar approaching the end and my lif ebar going into the red. My heart jumped and I thought that I got away on my last hundreds of hp, BUT no evac kicked in, instead i died a second later and that brig ga ve me a big laugh. I didn't really understand what happened and i checked through the log: <b>Your mail of frost has put you into combat.</b> ...and stopped and greyed out the evac cast. DOH, how ridiculous is this? A passive auto ward which supposedly is there to protect me, is my ultimate death sentence. <img src="/smilies/136dd33cba83140c7ce38db096d05aed.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><hr />

You can always opt to not have it up, and activate it only when you are facing combat you don't want to evac from.  As the ward is a beneficial spell, and it autocasts during a pvp situation, it's to be expected.  What I think needs some fixing about the ward is that if you get a decapitate on you, the dmg seems to negate the ward.  It's like it bypasses it, and the ward doesn't activate.  This, to me, is rediculous, as the spell does say that it will activate at 30% health..and if you get hit for 4kdmg and you only have 5k hp's, that hits 30% health somewhere along the way, eventually cutting below 30%....Either the wording of the spell description or the activation method of the spell itself needs to be changed.
