We are currently in the process of updating for a fairly substantial release. This release will include support for Game Update 35, and a number of bugfixes on the front end and the back. Overall performance for the site has improved over the last few releases, and this release should again increase the responsiveness of the site. In addition, we have taken care of a majority of the known issues in this release.

Release Notes:

Support for the Arasai and Game Update 35.

International Users should no longer intermittently see a 500 error when trying to view an Article.

International Users whose locale is not localized will default to English, instead of displaying an empty site.

Players with Discoveries from Inactive Servers should no longer see errors.

Level Histories for character that leveled on Inactive Servers should no longer see errors.

Permissions can once again be set for Guild Members in addition to Public.

Guild Search should now correctly show your Guild Alignment.

Guild Search should now correctly show your LFM Status.

Guild Search for Alignment or LFM Status should now return accurate results.

Signature Discoveries should no longer be inverted.

People from Kelethin will no longer pretend to be from Qeynos.

Browsing through the News and Archives should now be a lot easier.

Characters should no longer occasionally see a broken image instead of their Signature.

Guilds with Custom Websites should no longer display N/A on the Guild Profile or Leaderboards.

Pagination for Item/Spell Searches should no longer intermittently cause the results to disappear.

"Jump to Page" is once again behaving nicely.

Substantial improvements to Leaderboards performance and appearance.

Performance enhancements all through the site, no more ridiculous load times.

Lots of improvements to Localization throughout the site.

Tons of art fixes throughout the site.

As part of the fix for City Alignment we are now getting that information from a different place. This information will populate as you log in to the game, so if for some reason you are not showing up as the correct alignment (or with no alignment) log the character in and play for a bit, you will get updated.

As always, we look forward to your feedback.

Hi Jabru, I would be happy if the eq2players team would consider adding a "most recipes" leaderboard as a feature request

What about the chat with your guild function, you always manage to skirt around this problem... its not localised to a few users, quite a lot of users are finding it difficult and mostly not available to use... what about an update on that or would you like to just ignore the issue?

OK....the May release thread finally is released on err.....22nd May. Nice.

May I second the motion requesting information on the guild chat problems? Can you tell us where you are with it? Have you isolated the problem? Are you able to let us know whether or not you actually give a [Removed for Content]?

The stuff listed in your OP was pretty much all cosmetic. RosterMaster (both StandAlone and the Dragonfly versions) is able to retrieve and display it, but I don't think there's another way to view it straight from the EQ2Players' website at the moment.

To reproduce the problem, follow these steps: 1. Login to EQ2Players. 2. Go to Leaderboards. 3. Under "Custom leaderboards", select Guk, Swashbucker, and Most rares harvested. 4. Find Janthia (at the time of this writing, she is #39 with 214 rares). 5. Now look at her stats: http://eq2players.station.sony.com/...terId=125589101 The 217 rares matches the 3 rares that I harvested on May 27th plus the 214 shown on the leaderboard (I will refrain from pointing out the issue with that). However, the Guk/Swashbuckler ranking is #499 (from the rankings page). Furthermore, I find it extremely difficult to believe she ranks #606,614th worldwide. As for the "enhancement request" of internal guild rankings, whatever happened to "no lost functionality"? I want this feature back already.

not sure this will help, but for the guild chat function it worked for me before I server transfered and now every time I use it I get a 'warning: [408-2] Server Error: During login'. hope this helps you track down at least part of the problem.

Glad to see you responding again, Jabru, and thanks for adding some of the things I posted on to the list.

However, there are a few things that I posted as errors that were neither commented on, nor added to the list. Please take a look over these and respond when you can. Great job on a lot of fixes in the last update.

Old errors that I have already posted on, but have not been addressed or carried over from old thread:

Textual view of achievements still returns incorrect numbers on Spent Points and EXP to Next Point. (I know I don't have 106 spent points! Also, I am not the only one seeing this discrepancy.) Graphical view displays correctly.

My artisan level history and rank still do not show up for levels prior to 22. I am NOT from a merged server, so that is not the issue. (Not sure if I should be sending you a PM about this instead.)

The Total Status Earned ranking on the Character Ranking page (not the leaderboards) for individual classes on your server is just plain wrong. My ranking displays 189 when it is actually 5. I have searched other members of my guild and they display the same issue. The leaderboards are correct, but the character rankings page on an individual's character profile does not match.

The Arena Champions leaderboards have an option to sort it by server and level. However, as soon as you do so, the leaderboards remove any reference to the original purpose of the leaderboard ranking (which means unless you consider alphabetical order a ranking system, then it breaks the leaderboard). It instead displays Name, Server, race, class, and level. It removes all of the arena fields. This happens for both server sorting and level sorting. Also, once sorted, you cannot fix it by sorting again for all levels and worldwide, as this returns no search results. Hence, sorting feature is completely broken. This is true for all 4 arena champions leaderboards.

There are some meaningless strings underneath each pet name on the Arena Stats section of the Character Profile.

New Errors (or new ways of having the same kind of error):

The guild website section doesn't show ANY websites now on the leaderboards. (But you are right that it isn't showing N/A for guilds with custom domains anymore :wink

Suggestions or requests:

First and foremost: Internal Guild Rankings. I know you have said that it will definitely be added. I also see that you just referred to it as a "new feature". This is not a new feature. It has been a constantly used feature since near game launch. It is actually the "lost functionality" which was specifically stated we would not face after the revamp of EQ2Players. I know that you probably meant "a feature which is currently not on the site" instead of a "new feature". However, the subtlety in word choice is easy to mistake to people who are expecting backpedaling or more delays on the return of this feature.

Can we add the number of wins vs total number of games played in the Arena Stats page on our character profiles? Or at least just total number of wins? There is currently no place either in game or on the site where you can find this out. I know the game keeps track of this number because there are rewards associated with it, so it shouldn't be hard to add it. Besides, it's not always about your # of kills in the arena if your team always wins.

Moly, I'm not disagreeing with you. I'm just thrilled that I'm finally seeing some response again from Jabru about bugs that I posted about. I would be even more thrilled to see this kept up.

As for the guild chat bit, I don't think you are going to get an answer other than the previous one anytime soon. However, that doesn't mean I think you should stop posting about it. I think you should find other people with the same issue and have them post the info about their comp setup like you already have. I'd love to see this fixed for everyone. If you decide to go this route, let me know, and I'll poll my guild and friends to help.

In regards to the thread title. . . lol. I'll settle for regular response from Jabru over a properly titled thread. As long as we keep getting that, I'll keep looking for issues and hoping for my mythical internal guild rankings (you aren't the only one with issues that should have been resolved already that aren't. AKA lost functionality). I'm guessing that he is just waiting till July and will skip June altogether.

We are working on getting things taken care of as time permits, in the meantime keep posting about things you see that are wrong, need changed, or are just plain broke. Make sure when you do post a problem be as detailed as possible so we can try to recreate your problems and get them documented properly. Steps to reproduce or links to items that display a problem are a must when trying to track down issues and get them turned around as quickly as possible. If you don't feel comfortable posting a detailed message feel free to send me a PM as well. As a side note we will never ask for your password so please don't include that. In Regards to EQ2Players Guild chat there was a problem only affecting 2 servers thus when we went to recreate the problem in our test environment it worked fine. We found the issue and which servers it was affecting and corrected the problem so hopefully its all working now *crosses fingers* if you see any problems with the functionality let me know.

Thanks Gninja, will do.

Speaking of, Kizaxia found an error on the Profile tab of the Character page. There is a spot for a bio screenshot that has an empty silhouette in place of a screenshot as if you can upload a screen shot to go there. There is also an upload spot for a bio image under the admin tab, on the manage images screen. However, despite having this set properly before the revamp of EQ2Players, I still have that empty silhouette. I have also never seen a character who has a screen shot displayed in that slot. Also, there is no other spot where that uploaded bio image might be displayed.

Thanks again to Kizaxia on the find.

I want this feature back already.
Just wanted to post an update on the rares harvested not matching the various leaderboards. I checked this with my main Janthia on Guk and I see it is fixed. In fact, I noticed pretty much every ranking (highest melee, highest HO, etc.) on server AND worldwide saw an adjustment. The fact that the adjustments were all in Janthia's favor certainly doesn't hurt. Just to double check, I went through and compared my numbers with the rankings on custom leaderboards and every last one of them appears to be in agreement. Way to go SOE! Gratz on the guild chat thing too (even if I don't care about that particular feature). Those needle and haystack issues are the most annoying thing to track down and no one is happy during the time it takes to find the problem. Let's keep the updates/fixes rolling. <fingers orientation="crossed">internal guild rankings</fingers> P.S. I sure wish I could figure out how to preview my post before I post it. Anyone got a sticky to which to refer me?

Just wanted to post a quick note here. We have actually been doing small one-off style updates since the last release, but the larger release which we have been working on has ended up seeing delays because of the support stuff.

Our next release will be around the time Rise of Kunark comes out, and I think that many of you will be happy with some of the new feature additions and the tons and tons of bugfixes. When we get closer to the actual release, I will put up more details about what is coming. I just wanted to drop an update here and let you know that it is coming soon (with no TM).

As we approach the release of RoK, this seems to be a good time to ask a question. Is the release going to be timed with RoK like it was last time, or will it be a few days before?I only ask because one of the worst parts of the revamp was that everything was broken right when it would have been most useful: expansion time. That and I think most people will be more focused on playing the expansion than on testing the new features for bugs. Since the site seems to rely a great deal on player support for bug testing, it may be a good idea to release a couple days before RoK so that you have some community support.I don't know what the plans are, obviously, so I'm just wondering/suggesting.
