Definately graphics centered, though figuring out exactly which part of the graphics (hardware/software) will take a little process of elimination to find.

What I would recommend would be to first of all roll back your drives one version, or to the recommended NVidia Display drivers listed on the Support Page. If they're the latest, try going back one version and see if that fixes the problem.

If that doesn't work, it could be a number of things related to hardware. Starting, ensure that you have the graphics card on it's own power chain (if the 6600 series requires it's own power input from your power supply).

If that doesn't work, open your case and try to let it run with that little extra ventilation.

If all of this doesn't work... not sure what to tell you EQ makes my graphics card scream bloody murder, and it's a good card too.

Hope this helps.

You're not the only one.

Last week I noticed that after a couple of hours or so, some of the polygons started flashing solid green for no apparent reason, getting progressively worse. I thought it might be something to do with my PC overheating, though it's an Alienware and has enough fans to sink a small battleship. I ought to point out here that I haven't fiddled with the PC at all when this started happening - no software or hardware has been changed, nothing. It doesn't even have anything else on it, just the Windows install and EQ2 - I have another PC for all my other games.

Interestingly enough, my graphics card is a 6600GT as well...

If this is a problem that is being experianced by more than one person.. i'd recommend reposting this thread in the Tech Support forum so a TSR can get it forwarded to Compatability lab and/or Customer Service

I had a somewhere similar thing, especially with lots of wierd polygon stretching and stuff.

It started happening on a rare occassion, and grew more and more frequent.

What the problem was:

The RAM on my video card was going out. Eventually totally died and the game would freeze after about 10 seconds. heh.

So, that could be the source of your problem, although I hope not, especially if your parts aren't still covered under a warrantee.

Just thought I'd toss out a possibility though.

I had similar things happen when the small fan mounted on my Nvidea card died. Comp temp was fine, but the card overheated in spite of the main cooling fans.. I would check that, if you have a fan cooled card.
