I know I may get a bit of a biased anwswer here But I was wondering, How fun are Brigands? They seem like they may be a blast. What I'm really looking for a character, is a One that's fun to play, and can resonably solo well. Any tips would be greatly appericated as well.

Brigands kinda fit that mold, but Assassins do better; especially the soloing part.

Yup, we are fun (of course!). Its a very versatile class, especially in a group. We can DPS, we can tank if needed, we can save that poor healer/mage with stuns/intercepts, everybody thinks we're sexy because of our debuffs... well maybe not, being ratonga helps though. And its definitely a good solo class, maybe not high-end in terms of what we can take on, but what we can take on we kill FAST.

Brigands are fun for some and not for others. Since many of our attacks are positional, you need to be able to quickly determine what is the targeted mob, position yourself relative to the mob, kill and then repeat. So lots of quick keyboard based movement. It's very different from a mage that just stands at a distance and lobs nukes. So if you like having a physically active toon, Brigand is great. You also need to decide what combos of moves have the most impact and what poisons will serve you best. So there is a fair amount of strategy involved as well.

I love my Brigand. While I was gone from EQ II for a few years, I recently came back and instantly picked up my Brigand again. He's just as fun now as he was when I was playing him years ago ( maybe even more fun; lots of changes happened since I was gone )

I really like playing my brigand. Mine is only level 30, but I've had a blast so far. Solo'ing is fun, being the debuffer and a souce of dps for my groups is fun, being able to role-play a total badass is a lot of fun. So, yes, Brigands are fun.

Time your stuns. Depending on your level...open up with stealth attack to debuff str, pop a stun, and throw all your debuffs in or go to town on the mob. Once the stun wears off, apply another. Repeat this process until dead. Usually only takes until 2nd stun or so..anything under a ^ will go down first stun.

I highly suggest the agility line as well. Whether you go wis/agi, str/agi, or sta/agi, that AGI line allows you to pop attacks quicker, it is plain awesome.

It's possible to keep a mob locked down the duration of a fight (yes, even ^^^'s). You may not notice the true power of a brig until higher tiers, I know I didn't. Once I hit 70 with my brig I basically stopped playing my fury altogether. Just way more fun...no interrupts, just straight-out killing.

Are brigands fun? Well so far, I'd have to answer yes

Rolled one up when Neriak opened and she's 20 now (probably the fastest 1-20 ever for me to be honest), but it hasn't been a grind fest as I've completed around 85 quests already
