Hello all, My girlfriend will be playing a fury (her choice and I'm going to supplement that). What I want to do (we are playing Freeport) is create a duo that can do the most content possible. Killing and leveling fast is great, but I want to have a duo that can do the most alone. What would be your choices? I've read over other posts but they are just asking in general from what I gather this is how they stack up in my mind. SK - Can help the healing with his taps and allow the fury to do more dps, takes Reaver AA line and spell crits for dps Zerker - Tanks, dps is higher than the SK, both chars spec AA DPS Brigand - Can tank somewhat, higher dps than the others, not sure how fury would spec, brig specs tank Any others to add? I have interests in most classes so I am open to anything.

I've actually duped with them all at once time or another Out of that list... go SK; but I would recomened a bruiser hands down tho for tank/fury combinations.

From everything I read about Furies, I would be inclined to think the perfect partner for a Fury would be a... Fury.

Like I said, please don't limit it to the list. Why would a bruiser be more superior to the others?

I would go either with a brawler (monk or bruiser) or a Berserker. I've played 2 furies into the 60's - first my 2nd account (I used to 2-box a lot, but got sort of burned out on it and am down to 1 character at a time now). I boxed my fury with my monk and I found the combination to be excellent. The agility buffs provided by the Fury went very well with the monk's whole avoiding damage thing that we do. Now, I've got a new fury on my main account. My husband made a berserker around the same time that I made my fury - she was actually a re-roll of my first EQ2 character who was originally a warden. Having played the fury into the 60's on my 2nd account, I was more accustomed to the fury than the warden, so I made the change. My husband's berserker and I can do AMAZING amounts of damage and survive huge amounts of encounters that would lay out any of our other characters FLAT. The berserker has a lot of abilities that add to regeneration in-combat, and so does the fury. Our health regen combined is pretty amazing. Honestly, you can pair up pretty much any two classes in this game and "make it". But if you want to be tough and be able to say 'I can't believe we SURVIVED that!' you'll be really happy with the fury/zerker combo.

Bruisers/Monks are not really good at AoE-aggro, also SK benefits from furys int-buffs. Brigant also is not really good in AoE-aggro, and if he is tanking he looses a lot of his DPS. You also have to heal much more on brigs or brawlers, so less time to do damage

I also have a 70 Fury and Brigant, and also often duo with a bruiser/monk with my fury, and personally for me the SK/Fury combo is the best, while i however also like SK/Warden (the bruiser has also a warden)

I duo a whole lot with my husband, who plays a warlock while I play a fury. It seems to work out pretty well - we make a good team. The good points are that he can plow through mobs very quickly, and I can keep him alive while he does it. As long as we don't get in over our heads, and his roots hold, we do very well since I can also back-up DPS if I don't have to heal. Otherwise it's spam healing and possible death due to the immense amount of hate he builds up. When it goes bad, it goes bad very quickly. =D It all depends on the play-style you prefer, there are lots of classes that furies can complement well since they are pretty adaptable to a variety of play situations. If you enjoy doing massive amounts of damage and bringing down fiery death on the heads of masses, a warlock might be fun for you. =)

I have a 55 fury, and duoing along with a SK is just awsome. The two classes compliment each other well, and have very high DPS for a duo group. SK has a high DPS for tanks, and Furies for healers. All that damage, along with the natural tanking and healing of the two makes for taking heroics easy. Triple up higher level mobs become very possible with mastercrafted gear, some adept 3s, and most importantly good teamwork. One spell that really shines with the Fury/SK duo is the furies Vim spell. It gives +Int and Power and is a great buff for both the fury with damage AA, and really any kind of SK. Hope that helps

My fiance and I play a fury/wizzy combo quite well. With the right AAs and some increased agility (not hard since bruisers/monks need it and share armor with us) a fury can be a competent mini-tank, and this combo can heal itself and DPS like NOTHING ELSE. Having trouble? Heal yourself, or if it's really bad, MANABURN! Both are welcome in groups, and you won't fight over much armor. Although, I have heard good things about fury/zerker, some friends of mine do that and swear by the combo. Start some characters on the test servers and see what feels right to you

I think a fury fits well with most classes for a duo set up but when I played mine I always had a ton of fun duoing with a high dpsing scout, like an assassin or swash.. brig is good too. Scouts were my favorite, heh still are :p

Have done monk/fury, brusier/warden, zerker/fury, zerker/warden all through high levels, would have to say the best combo i have run is zerker/fury, if the zerker is geared decently. if you want to run with minimal gear then brusier fury would work for freep toons. the one thing to think about is even tho you will be duoing most of the time, if you have a zerker/fury you just need to shout out that yer looking for dps and you will have full group fast, but will still have a healer/tank combo you are very used to. you will probably find yourself giving the tanking job to somebody who wears plate if ya play the pajama tank and expand to a full group.

My girlfriend and I have duoed a zerker/fury to 70, and a monk/fury to 66. IMO the zerker/fury combo excells. Awesome aoe dps, good tanking ability, good agro management, and good healing--and the ability to form a group almost instantly. Cant go wrong with that combo.

I'm a 3 boxer... you can see my class list in my sig... but Zerker, Fury, Troub. Fury has an AWESOME set of single target 1 use buffs. Agitate (proc haste and dps in large amounts + STR and AGI I think) Thorns and while most of you furies will disagree with me... the lvl 35 bloodlines + power regen and agi buff I give to my zerker. I 2 boxed zerker fury without the troub for 10 mths before I built the troub... he is NOT NEEDED.... but a welcome addition. Here is what the duo has going for it. 1) MITIGATION AND AVOIDENCE - that's the main thing... root and stuff is fine... if you are in a dungeon with hallways that are super wide... but a wizard will have issues in decent dungeons 2) DPS - Zerkers do great DPS... Furies do great DPS... and neither of them is a DPS class... they are tank and healer 3) Viability after you add more people - SK and Bruiser are not prefered tanks for raids... or even in 6 man groups. They can work in 6 man groups fine... but people will prefer the zerker usually. If you plan on doing more than just being a duo... Zerker is great. 4) Aggro single target and AE are good.... you can be beat by say a warlock on an AE encounter... but you can hold it good with a zerker... good enough that when someone dies on AE they usually point their finger at them and not you. an SK in a flat out Duo... well they can solo awesome due to lifetaps etc... that keeps up in a duo... but with a 6 person team the skills that make them excel in a duo or solo start to fade as a zerker starts to increase (group STR, DPS and haste proc, and HP regen) I have been Main-Tank on a raid... I have been Off-Tank on some raids... and I am almost always picked for DPS group.... zerker is a very versitle raid toon since it is tank and DPS with good group DPS buffs. IMHO you can't go wrong with a zerk in a duo or a 6 person team.

I 2 box a Fury and a Troub.. While i am not high level yet I really like the combo.. Im specing my troub down Sta and use a shield which helps alot while questing and killing adds.. in grouping its really easy i just autofollow my troub on the MT and use CAs while aoe group healing on the fury its nice. Most people dont know im 2boxing unless i tell them
