As the title says.. I was playing Sat .. Mornin just fine logged off for a while now can not get back on... Game loads fine to the Charactor screen .. Then when I try and load a Charactor it acts like its going to load and then boom back to where I started..

I'm having the same problem. Whenever it's at the "Receiving zone info" stage of loading, it hangs for a couple of minutes and then kicks me to character select. This happens on all of my characters on both of my accounts.

I am having the same issue... with a minor twist. I am crashing to the character select screen when zoning or right after I level. The same thing though... I can run around for a min or so in game but not interact with anything then it crashes me to the character select screen.

This is a fairly recent development

I'm having the same problem. I've actually had my cable company come round to check our connection speed/signal strength, etc. and he says we're actually running faster than we should be allowed by our cap

After 45 minutes of talking about firewalls, video drivers, demilitarized zones, and other things that I only barely understand, he suggests I ping the EQ server and check that out. Which I will do as soon as the computer savvy bf gets home from work to tell me how to find the IP address of the server. Meantime, if anyone else has any ideas, please let me know, because I'm about to lose it. (I've paid for 3 months of game-time and I don't want to waste it.)

I've tried shutting off the Windows firewall as well as assigning my IP as DMZ, updated my video drivers, removing extraneous programs, and setting my performance to MAX, which barely makes the game enjoyable anyway, all to no avail. I must admit I'm thoroughly frazzled.
