Research?

Im having trouble with the Wizard class. I heard at 16 you can do research to discover a new spell. How do you do this actual research? I also heard Wizard's get a meditate skill at lvl 4 but I have no idea how to unlock that either. Are there more spells than what you automatically get? If so, where do you get them. Im a total newb to Wizard so any help would be appreciated. Anyone know of any good guides? Thanks

Heheh.  I think you may have read a class description of the Wizard class in Everquest 1.  Research and Meditate don't exist in Everquest 2 <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />. As for a good guide, look at the top of this class forum for a stickied thread called "The way of the wizard - a new wizard's guide".  It ought to give you some starter information.
