Hey fellow bruisers, So right now I'm wearing a player made ring, which I know is lame to have at 70 but I just haven't found anything to replace it. I really like the 23 to our main stats. Anyway, looking at a Dark Chitin Ring and wondering how the +69 vr Slashing, Crushing, and Piercing really effects us. Also the +5 defense, don't we gain 10 to skill maxes when we level? so is +5 def like being half a level higher? Well, hope I'm being understood. Thanks in advance, ~Malvagone

You get 5 skill per level.. however they took away the "makes you a treated like a level higher" back when they fixed Guardians having 100% avoidance all the time.

Nowadays its just considered "buffed" skill, so it will definately help, but not to the extent that it used to (you are still treated as lvl 70 when it comes to the calculations).

For offense, you will be hardpressed to find better than player made imbued rings, Agi and Str. Maybe there's some rare fabled crap out there that does better... but for getting strength and procs, it's as good as I can find on the broker.

For defense, Dark Chitin is good, definately... Light Chitin is good too if you are worried about resists for some reason. +70hp adornments are nice on those too.

You aren't going to miss the 3 str and sta and 8 agi if you pick one of these over an mc'd ring. Also, you would do well to replace all the other mc'd stuff you are wearing with the level 70-75 collection rewards from EoF. The resists and HP they offer are very nice.

The MC'd rings aren't worn solely for the Str/Agi/Sta. They also have power (Dark Chitin don't have any at all) and for the DPS/Haste procs.

If you want DPSing rings, MC'd are hard to beat. But Dark Chitin are great for tanking or if you think youl'l be taking hits.
