What is Vent?

<p>Ventrilo is a voice communication software program that is great of communicating with other players. It greatly cuts down on typing and is a much faster way of communicating.</p><p>It is free to download at <a href="http://www.ventrilo.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.ventrilo.com</a></p><p>You will need to get the information and passwords from people you play with that use it. They pay for a server and it has its own port and password, etc.</p>

You don't need a microphone unless you are fond of chatting. Most raids and raid guilds require that you run Ventrilo so that you can hear the raid leader calling the plays and the main tank counting down the incoming mobs.
