View Full Version : Ignoring scouts rank the classes for PvP

I know I don't wanna play any of the scout classes on the PvP server so am curious how you folks would rank the rest of the classs minus scouts in terms of how well they fare in PvP. This will help me pick a class for starting on the PvP server.

Play what you enjoy, but do yourself a favor..

Get a guild. Find one that's ready to show you the ropes of pvp, and group with you. PvP isn't a /duel, it's grouping it's raiding. There are classes out there that you will murder when you're solo (almost) regardless of what you play, and there are classes out there that will murder you on that same class. Those fights won't be close.

But every class has a role in a well-built group. Find 5 friends that want to start a dedicated pvp group with you, and build your team around the role each of you play.

If you want solo pvp.. honestly.. just go pve and /duel. Scouts are the only classes that have obvious advantages for soloing (doesn't mean they're the only ones that can). Everyone else is blind, and many times walking around under the noonday sun waiting to get ganked by the scouts out there, or the scouts leading well balanced groups out there..

ALL classes are enjoyable and successful when you play to their strengths. Learn your class, learn how to maximize his or her abilities and survivability, and how to maximize the power of your group.

A warden if played right is very dangerous and can solo pvp very well even when out numbered. I find group PvP grouping completely pointless. These gank squads can drop solo'ers before I can even get a single hit in which means no fame and no faction so no point in me being in a PvP group unless it is to take on another group in which healing and dragging out the fight actually matters.

Tip -- you probably have a fast-casting snare. Use it. When i'm leading my group around for pvp and we see a solo green, often the ONLY thing i'll cast on that player is a snare.. and a stun if he starts to get away.

Furies DPS can be outhealed by pretty much all self healing classes. Its not much to call dps tbh, and when its a war about the blue bar, furies arent the strong ones. furies mitigation is not anything worth mentioning. Their resists are the same as every other class that depends on mit, or any raider for that matter. Sure, they can heal. Whoptedoo. they wont die in 10 seconds. Unless its some dumb DPS class [Removed for Content] them. Sure they can run fast. Woho, doesnt help the ones I fight, since they tend to stay around for far to long to make it out of my cast range before they die. Those two are all the things furies get that are any different than most classes, and they only have 1 thing other healers dont. They can run very fast. Woot. so, being able to run fast is what makes you the top dog?
