I am new to pvp so I am not an expert but have you guys tried this.

1. Get a bunch of friends together to play on pvp server.

2. Make them all different classes but one must be a scout.

3. Now make a balanced group and go out and kill every scout that you see using your scout to track them.

4. Write down the name of the scouts you kill so every time they zone in you kill them.

5. Only kill scouts

6. Make the scout life impossible.

This should lower the amount of scouts on the server. I think this better then nerfing them.

Like I said I am a newbie to pvp maybe I am wrong.

Scouts can evac when a group of unfriendlies they don't want to fight show up.

Scouts are stealthy.

Scouts can spot stealthy types.

Scouts use poison in conjunction with snares & stuns.

Scouts will gank the rest of your group and make you wish you had more than just one scout in the group when three of them are bum-rushing and poisoning your healers, while the tanks are snared and/or stunned.

You can't grief a scout, even if you try, unless you have more scouts than them. You can, however, stroll right into an ambush.

I rolled a Swashy because in the first couple of weeks when PvP went live, my original Warden, and my friends' tanks, got steamrolled. Hard. Over and over. Nobody else wanted to make a scout, so I did. We spent more time beating feet from Necros in those early days than anything else, because of that nasty bug that would let a solo Necro with pet take on a group that conned red to him and win in 6.2 seconds. The only thing that will make for fewer scouts on the server is when they make another class the flavor-of-the-week. I'll still play mine, because it's fun, but then you'll see the exact same type of threads about that class. Actually, you already see those about SK's, but hey, they're evil, so who cares if they get their feelings hurt.

* There's that many Bards left?!
