Well, at least I find them very interesting. I didn't like Mystics at all when I first tried playing one, though.

I get random tells asking if I'd like to join a raid fairly frequently. When people say they're looking for a healer for zone such-in-such and I respond I get an invite without further discusion. Now sometimes I think this is because folks think I'm a druid and and can give them a port somewhere while I'm at it. But for the majority, I think mystics are currently recognized as strong healers in a group, and a required healer for many raids. Add the melee AA lines and I assume you could probably even solo fairly effectively.

I'm popular, but I think it's because I'm so wicked handsome and has nothing to do with being a Mystic.

I don't know about overall, but I just came back to the game after a long absence and rolled a Mystic because I heard they were unpopular, only to find that on the low-end lvls at least, there seem to be tons of Mystics.

As soon as Arasai come out there will be oodles of low level winged defilers flying around.

At low levels, mystics are very powerful. With the master 2 ward, they are tough to beat. As they leel up, the damage done scales faster than the amount able to be covered by a single ward, so they are a bit harder to play well.

A lot of people make characters wanting to get to 70 and have that awsome ability or something they saw someone else do, then realize the hard part is actually getting to 70.

Agreed Denna. I made my Mystic because I liked the Shaman in EQ1. We're DEFINITELY not an EQ1 Shaman. But I stuck with the healer since my guild really lacked that and we all wanted to do some x2 raid content and the big progressive quests. At level 70 with some AA under my belt I'm really enjoying my Mystic. I can heal and DPS and generally have a lot of fun. I've also arrived to a raid after a wipe on a named, and really made a difference to the success of the next attempt. Mystics bring a lot to a force, eventually.
