Duel Monitor

Hello i tried searching the forum and google for an answer but still not come up with anything so i have decided to post on here now. i run a duel monitor setup.  use my main 19' monitor to view websites, chat, use teamspeak. and i use a 26' widescreen secondry monitor to play everquest 2 on at the same time. but everytime i load eq2 up it loads up on my main 19' monitor.    at the moment i play windowed mode and have to reduce the game drag it to my second monitor and maximise the game again. i was wondering if there is a setting somewhere where i can make the game load on my second monitor. and is there a way to run full screen on my second without effecting the main monitor. thanks Mopreme

I do the same thing but on a 56" when I single box that is. goto the display settings in windows and set your 26" as primary display thats all you should need to do =p. Happy hunting

Wow how do you play on a 56" monitor?  Where do you get a monitor that big?  Is the picture quality any good?

my wife plays on a 42"  but this is her primary monitor. these ain't real monitors there LCD tv's with pc support. they both have good reponse times and game modes on them. as for quality. well the 26" is fine but the 42 you need a wirless keyboard and mouse as you need to sit back from it.  but there fine to use and dispaly a good enough picture for me. i understand you saying switch my tv to primary monitor but that to simple for me lol.  i wanted to keep my 19" as the primary because this is where all your start bar stays.  i wanted to just make my life easier and have eq2 load on the second screen. like if i closed down firefox on my second screen it would load up on there aswell.

Unless you want monitors that will duel each other to the death, i guess you'll want dual monitors.

<p><b>Ok I may be outta luck here but I wanna use my main monitor(1650x1080 wide screen) for the main toon I play and use my second monitor(1280x1024) for my second account/toon but everytime I log in to play, moving the second account (in windowed mode) over to the second monitor and click full screen the screen goes blank and then the game pops up on my main monitor in full screen at that point my 2ond monitor shows a split screen of 1/2 my main wallpaper and have my 2onds wallpaper and I can't move it back(mouse button to move just pans the camera <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></b></p><p><b>Could someone with a bit more technical know how PLEASE help me out in fixing this so that it's the way I desire it</b></p><p><b>Main monitor full screen of account 1</b></p><p><b>Secondary monitor full screen of account 2</b></p><p><b>Same mouse and keyboard operate both by just sliding mouse between the 2 monitors</b></p><p><b>Thanks in advance!</b></p><p><b>Tarkaro</b></p>

It's really no big deal when each instance of the game is in full "windowed" mode. It's pretty close to full screen mode.</p>

Depending on your video card drivers you are able to set a primary monitor and a secondary monitor.  Games and applications load always on the primary monitors, you would have to set your larger monitor as the primary and the smaller the secondary.  I only know how to do with under Nvidia control panel but I'm sure ATI can do this as well.

I have to add to this, this is something I'm struggling with. I have two monitors, and two copies of EQ2 on different accounts. Like the previous poster, I am running them on different monitors with no problems once the game gets going. My question is, running them in windowed mode, is there some way I can set them to run in separate monitors instead of having them both open in the primary monitor then drag them over. The only way I can think to do this is to open one, then change my primary monitor to the other and open that program, then switch back, obviously this would also be annoying to do.
