Problem transfering EQ2 to new computer.

<p>Hello all. Last time I upgraded computers I was able to transfer my sony program files folder from my old hard drive to the new hard drive/computer. </p><p>I had to do this again with my new install of windows and I transfered a fully up to day eq2 folder to the new program files folder, but when I run the launcher it says it has 8 hours of things to download. What is going on this time? Is there something new now I need to transfer over this time? 8 hours worth of download is kind of scary considering my EQ2 folder is already 8 gigs big. </p><p>Thanks in advance. </p>

<p>Nevermind, I just noticed some of the stuff was marked as read only and didn't transfer for some reason. </p><p>If anyone else has this problem just make sure you take the wholy sony folder off read only before you copy it. </p>

Ninni, How do you transfer the files to your new computer?  I am about to buy a new computer and I am not sure that I have all my disks still. Thanks, Fred

<p>Aftergetting windows and drivers and such all setup in the new system I hooked up the old hard drive and just dragged the sony folder from my old program files to the new program files.  </p><p> I'm also though wondering if the read only thing was really my problem. When I run Eq2 now from the folder it works, but when I run it from ashortcut it goes back to the 7 hour download thing :/</p><p>grr </p>
