Is there a formula that can be used to determine rough what the conversion rate of strength to dps is?

I have been told that for every point of strength, that this translates roughly into one point of dps.

can anyone confirm or deny this?

not sure but str also increases ur CA dmg pool if u didn't know

and i just checked my attk rating was 1400 in defensive stance after using elixir of fortitude with 56 str ... attk rating went upto 1428. so i guess each str point is giving me half of a point in attk rating

Question answered. Nice.

I guess the larger question now is what does the attack rating actually mean?

If you use the /weaponstats command you can directly see the effects of your STR no damage. Also, the damage shown when you inspect your Combat Arts also reflects the STR bonus, so changing your STR and looking at CA damage will also give you an idea.
