Alternate armor sets - I know, it would be alot of work... a LOT of work... but just something I wanted to muse over and hear some opinions on, not on the question of practicality, but on concept. Each visible armor type uses a particular model, often retextured. Vanguard armor pieces look the same, wether it's blue cobalt, rusty tin, or glistening Awakened Scalelord. Supposes each base armor model had an alternate form with a more oriental theme? My character isn't supposed to look like a knight in shining armor, he's supposed to look like a Japanese shogun. The simpler way would be to just have a "SOGA armor" mode you can turn on or off, and that would perhaps be the wiser way... but just suppose you could select "western" or "easter" style on each visible piece, save bracers and boots, on the item itself. Have the default iron chest plate, but then turn the leggings into a solid black hakama style. The changes could be subtle and retain a lot of characteristics for continuity. Example - Berserker hat. Can everyone say "Viking"? But with just a subtle change to the horns and eye covers, you could have a lovely samurai hat. Allow me to illustrate... My big question is, how taxing would this be on the players in a zone at any given time? Do they have to load/cache both forms for every visible items equipped around them, or would it be able to swap on request? Making such a change would take many long hours, but how do you think this would work in-play?

(( Very creative, and cool drawing! I hope they add more options for armor too! (but i wont hold my breath... someone once said, you can make everyone happy some of the time, or some of them happy all the time, but never everyone all the time.. sadly i think this falls into that category but dont let that stop you its just my opinion oft the best ideas start out this way with a simply written forum post and a sketch

I know what people are getting at with the "lets have more looks for armour etc" but id sooner the art depo was making more zones then recreating armour. So then we will end up with more content.

I aint a game designer but surely once you have various mobs etc in game making a new zone isnt hard except for when making the zone itself from scratch. Then once thats done done you just copy paste various mobs from various zones etc.

Also the only thing id like them to be doing is spending like an extra 10 minutes to create unique appearences on the items that are hard to get rather then copy/paste from easy models in game.

On top of that id sooner see bugs fixes rather then worrying about how pretty my toon looks.
