View Full Version : Problem

EQ2 has been runnin fine for me so far but some weird stuff has been cropping up. Now when I use the launchpad and log on i'm prompted saying you are about to see information on a secure network.

Today I crashed twice while fighting a mob in one particular spot. I bugged it, but here's the error message that was generated on the 2nd crash.

That error event is closely tied to your sound device/driver. Try choosing something other then Miles Sound System with in the in-game options. Choose Dolby and see if that corrects the issue.

I run a creative audigy sound card and will see what better suits it. Been using standard settings on my computer and only mess with the graphics settings (Very HQ and Extreme HQ) when taking pictures.

Went in game and selected the Dolby thing and the sound Quality wasn't great. Dont' know if I have the 2 other EAX things on my computer. CS:S runs the miles3d audio thing for MP3s and seems to work fine. Wonder what it is on my computer it doesn't like?

You can also download the latest sound drivers from creative and install on top of what driver you already have with Windows.

I have the X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS and get EAX4 as an in-game choice. Sounds great!!

Stay with Dolby and see if you crash out, if at all.

It's weird because that Milas thing has never given me a problem until those 2 times today. I'll see if there are ways I can reproduce the problem or see if something specific triggers it.

I'll try the EAX 2 and 3 settings later tonight and see how those work out.
