First let me Hello to everyone...I am new to posting in this forum but I come here almost everyday to learn more and more...I have a lvl 33 Troub and have really enjoyed it..granted the dps is nothing compared to my ranger, wizzy, or conj but I knew that going in to it...my question is this: I am 1 aa away from DKTM and am wondering should I continue in the kos tree or start putting some in the eof tree now that i have more ca's..I am not going to start the neverending debat on which line to go down because I know it depends on playerstyle, solo or group oriented ect plus since it is so easy to respec i will try alot of different things and see hwich way works best...however since i cant move points from tree to tree I am at a delima on which tree to work now...any advice is appreciated...also with so many buffs it is sometimes hard to decide which to use...so i am just curious which buffs you use to solo and why...I solo only about 55-60% of the time and have tried many different things but am still farely new to the troub and am still having a hard time deciding which is working best...thanks again

For levelling I found the KoS tree more inviting. Abilities like 'Bump' specifically. Especially if you are soloing a fair bit now, but plan to raid later, I'd definetly not go for your 'final' choices. As long as you are doing a few quests, by the time you get to raiding levels, you should have AA's on both trees close to maxed anyway. It is a bit annoying that you can't respec between the trees, so if there are abilities you want sooner rather than later, you obviously need to keep your points at least in the same tree, and not respec TOO often, or you will be looking at 10plat or a months delay.

For soloing it depends on two things, your build type and your weapon of choice.

Build type, the dual weilding str/agi based troub with little in the way of int.

The 1h weapon and round shield build again with str/ agi focus, like a tank.

My personal build because I group alot, is 1h/shield and int focus. Because with a good 1h I can do more dmg with my songs and CA combined than dual wielding gets me.

Last build is your dual weilding int focused troub. With s focus on weapons procing and again spell dmg over melee dps.

Now for soloing, it is fundamentally important to have the best possible gear in terms of mit/ avoidance that you can get a hold of for your preferred setup. Don`t sacrifice 1 or two points of int for some good old mit. If you have no money then do some quests for armour, treasured is sometimes better than crafted and is better than nothing if you are completely broke. You goal should be a few pieces of fabled gear, but at lvl 30 it won`t be easy to get a hold of.

I prefer a short fight so if I must solo something I take on greens and blues, something that is dead after I get all my CA`s off. This way quests progress faster and the exp from the combined green, the speed of getting it done and the quest reward exp/ aa out way grinding it out with anything over white.

Our highest dmg comes from our spells, it is fast when you go down the wisdom line with the boost to casting speed and the 7.5% from DKtM which really seems like 30%. I think you can burn through quests fast enough to get nice exp soloing. But a troub is not built for soloing these days, back in the day beforeLU13 he was the best soloer in the game by far, when stat buffs stacked. Those days are gone and I recommend that you make a group and do HQ`s or something that gives nice exp/aa, then again it depends on your own personal goals within the game.

My personal preference is for 5 points into cheapshot, 5 points into enhance:shrill, 3 points in enhance:bria's and then 5 points into enhance: aria. Then start on the AGI line in KoS.

Going down another KoS line first, no matter which line you choose, will most likely be a better choice. Throwing a few points into certain skills like the above poster said isn't a bad idea either. Focus on another KoS line though.
